<article id="ra-body">Police arrested an Episcopal priest at his Long Island, NY Saturday.<br />
Veteran cleric Rev Christopher King, 51, allegedly had a trove of kiddie porn, drugs and drug paraphernalia in his Long Island home when he was taken into custody, according to police. Some of the child porn featured children as young as 3.<br />
The Saturday raid by Nassau County police on Rev. King&#8217;s Long Beach home, uncovered quantities of crystal meth and Xanax, according to polices sources.<br />
During the raid which came after cops received an anonymous tip, led to the discovery of five videos on his computer including a clip of an adult male engaged in sex with “a toddler, approximately 2-3 years of age,” according to a felony complaint against King.<br />
The arrest complaint stated that the collection had more footage showing boys between the ages of 3 and 12 in sex acts, sometimes with adult men, or with each other. All the porn material was found during an on-site search of the priest’s computer, cops said.<br />
The vicar was immediately removed from any religious role in the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island. Bshop Lawrence Provenzano of Long Island Diocese emphasized that “The diocese and the entire Episcopal Church have a zero tolerance policy with respect to criminal conduct of any kind,” according to a statement from Bishop Provenzano.<br />
“I have today terminated Father King&#8217;s license to function as an Episcopal priest in the Diocese of Long Island. We will also provide pastoral care and consult with the congregation and any others impacted by these charges.”</p>

<p>The complaint further charged King, one time youth officer for the Episcopal Diocese of New York , with possession of 12 grams of crystal methamphetamine that was found in his church office and bedroom. The Xanax found lying on top of a dresser in the vicar&#8217;s bedroom, turned out to be unprescribed.<br />
Cops also recovered drug-related paraphernalia from the vicar’s residence at St. James of Jerusalem Episcopal Church, Long Island where he has served since 2008<br />
Rev. King made his first court appearance during his arraignment Saturday morning in Hempstead. The vicar was charged with five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child and two counts of drug possession.<br />
The cleric was ordered held on $100,000 bond or $50,000 cash bail.</p>
