The wife of the Ku Klux Klan leader who was found dead over the weekend was held Monday on suspicion of first-degree murder.
The wife told investigators, her 51-year-old husband last seen in his Leadwood home on Wednesday morning before vanishing. A body later identified as of Frank Ancona was found near The Big Ben river on Saturday, with a gunshot wound to his head.

No charges had been filed so far against Malissa Ancona, a jail official told the Post-Dispatch. The Leadwood, Mo, resident is reported to be on a 24-hour hold.
Her husband, Frank Ancona, 51, also of Leadwood, was found shot to death in the Big River. He had called himself an imperial wizard with the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

On the day he disappeared, Ancona’s wife claims, he had been called by his employer to make an out-of-state delivery, but the employer said it never reached out to him. On that same day, Malissa Ancona posted a roommate wanted message on Facebook, stating that she would need a roommate because her husband was filing for a divorce, according to the Daily Journal.
After a U.S. Forest Service employee located the victim’s vehicle on a forest service road in Potosi, a search by combined team of the Potosi Fire department and the county sheriff’s office revealed evidence of a burn pile near the vehicle, on Saturday morning
Investigators conducting a search of the couple’s home also found a safe which had been busted open with a crowbar. Burglary was not suspected, according to police sources.
