<p>An Oklahoma man who shot dead three teenagers after they broke into his home in broad daylight has been identified as Zachary Peters.<br />
23-year-old Peters was at home with his father in Broken Arrow when he awoke to a loud banging noise on Monday after three suspected burglars shattered the back door of his home.<br />
He grabbed an AR15 rifle and went to check the cause of the noise. Confronting the masked intruders he opened fire, killing all three suspects. The burglars turned out to be turned out to be three male teens aged 16, 17, and 18, all of whom died at the scene.<br />
An older participant in the bizarre event, Elizabeth Marie Rodriguez, 21, later turned herself in after the shooting and told police her involvement was limited to being the getaway driver, although court documents accessed by <a class="" href="http://www.newson6.com/story/35016222/woman-admits-to-being-getaway-driver-for-three-burglars-shot-dead-in-broken-arrow" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">News on 6</a> say she planned the burglary and knew Peters by name. Rodriguez made her first court appearance Tuesday. Prosecutors plan to charge her with three counts of first-degree felony murder for her alleged role in the burglary that led to the shooting deaths of three young men.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Wagoner County Sheriff&#8217;s Deputy Nick Mahoney said the suspects gained entry after they shattered a glass door at the back of the house. Peters armed himself with an AR-15 rifle, exchanged a few words with the suspects, and opened fire, Mahoney said.<br />
Two teens died in the kitchen, while a third ran to the driveway before collapsing and &#8216;succumbing to his injuries&#8217;, the sheriff&#8217;s office said. They have not been named.<br />
&#8216;Preliminary investigation looks like it&#8217;s self-defense. This may be a case of &#8220;stand-your-ground&#8221;, however, it’s still too early to say for sure, and we’re still looking into all aspects of this,&#8217; Mahoney told <a class="" href="http://edition.cnn.com/2017/03/27/us/oklahoma-three-dead-home-burglary/index.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">CNN</a>.<br />
Peters, who has not been charged, cooperated with authorities and gave a formal statement at the sheriff&#8217;s office. Both he and his father were uninjured.</p>

When she heard shots break out, the court documents state, she drove off and turned herself in, telling police the names of the three boys so their parents could be notified, according to the documents.</p>

In Oklahoma, those suspected of committing a felony that results in a death can face murder charges even if they did not kill anyone, <a class="" href="http://www.fox23.com/news/three-killed-in-wagoner-county-shooting/506461840" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">FOX23</a> reported.</p>
