<p>Police said a man entered the Zona Caliente Sports Bar &; Grill on South Cooper St. in Arlington, Tex., on May 3, 2017, got into an altercation with one of the restaurant employees. He shot the employee but was then gunned down by a customer.</p>

<article id="ra-body">The gunman was later identified as 48-year-old James Jones of Grand Prairie and the victim was identified as 37-year-old Cesar Perez of Duncanville, according to Arlington police spokesman, Lt. Chris Cook.</p>

<p>One of the deceased is believed to be a man who entered Zona Caliente Sports Bar &; Grill Wednesday evening and shot and killed one of the workers, according to a statement from the Arlington Police Department.<br />
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.<br />
&#8220;Based upon multiple witnesses who were inside the location, detectives believe that a male suspect entered the location and confronted an employee,&#8221; the statement reads. &#8220;During this verbal confrontation, the suspect shot and killed the employee.&#8221;<br />
Witnesses told police that Jones yelled at Perez before killing him. Police did not know whether they knew each other.<br />
Authorities said that after witnessing the shooting, a customer armed with a handgun fired upon the gunman, fatally wounding him.<br />
The gunman&#8217;s motives are still to be established, but investigators believe 37-year-old Cesar Perez, was targeted.</p>

Cook confirmed that the customer who was out dining with his wife was a concealed handgun under a license. The vigilant customer prevented a possible blood bath Cook said.</div>

<p>“He told his wife to get down and get away because he was carrying a firearm on his person. And he made the decision to engage the shooter at that point fearing there would be other loss of life or additional shooting at the restaurant,” said Lt. Chris Cook.<br />
The third person was injured by glass. Police said the customer was hurt when she cut herself on broken glass as she was leaving the restaurant.</p>
