Illinois man Shedrick Pryor, shoots his estranged heavily pregnant wife and her friend, before shooting himself in murder-suicide following a domestic dispute

Responding officers found the couple both dead from gun shot wounds in the living room of a Woodbridge, Illinois home in an apparent murder-suicide. The second female victim was found in a back room also suffering gun shot wounds.
Police say Shedrick Pryor, 32, killed his wife April Pryor at the apartment in Woodbridge on Monday night. 24-year-old April was seven-months pregnant at the time but the baby did not survive.

The couple had lived together in a nearby home, but Mrs Pryor had moved to the apartment ‘several days prior to the incident,’ following a domestic dispute with her husband.
Shedrick allegedly showed up at the apartment Monday night with a handgun and forced his way inside. During a fight police said, he shot his wife and her friend before turning the gun on himself. An argument broke out before Pryor opened fire.
Neighbors said the two women had children living inside the apartment, who may have witnessed everything.

April Pryor already had two children. It was not immediately clear if her husband was their father.
‘This tragedy is devastating for the two families involved,’ Woodbridge Police Chief Brian Cunningham said in a statement.
‘We hope they remain strong and united during this difficult time.’
Police are still investigating.
