<dt>A 73-year-old Florida assisted living facility owner arrested on rape charges, last week in, the Pinellas County. The septuagenarian facility operator was arrested after allegedly sexually assaulting a female employee in his office on May 22.</dt>
<dt>Enrique De La Piedra, owner of Osprey Health Care Center in St. Petersburg, admitted he led the woman into his office on May 22, locked the door, and then had sex with the woman. However, De La Piedra insisted the sex was consensual.<br />
The victim, however, told officials she fell to the ground after De La Piedra tried to wrap his arms around her, according to an arrest report obtained by <a href="http://www.abcactionnews.com/news/crime/st-petersburg-assisted-living-facility-owner-arrested-for-sexual-battery-false-imprisonment">WFTS-TV</a>.<br />
De La Piedra allegedly put his hands down the employee’s pants after she repeatedly told him to stop, the report states.<br />
He reportedly told the victim, “it would never happen again.”</dt>

<p>The incident happened about 3 p.m. Monday (May 22) at the Osprey Assistant Living Facility, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Deputies said De La Piedra, who owns the Osprey ALF, asked the 44-year-old woman to come into his office and speak with him.<br />
The woman entered the office to speak with De La Piedra when he locked the office door behind her. Deputies said De La Piedra then hugged the woman who immediately attempted to get away from her employer, who then sexually assaulted her.<br />
The victim told deputies she resisted the unwanted sexual contact and told her attacker &#8216;no&#8217; several times.</p>

<article id="ra-body">The woman, who works at the Osprey, said after the assault she was finally able to escape from De La Piedra and leave the office. She immediately reported the incident to other employees and deputies were later notified. The victim was not physically injured in the assault, deputies said.<br />
A pastor at Cornerstone Community Church who knows De La Piedra said he’s a generous man and would be shocked if the allegations proved to be true.<br />
“He’s a wonderful man as far as I know,” Jason Roberts told <a href="http://wfla.com/2017/05/26/owner-of-st-petersburg-assisted-living-facility-arrested-for-sexual-battery-false-imprisonment/">WFLA-TV</a>. “If what he’s accused of actually happened, it’s a real shock to me and I’m sure would be to everybody.”<br />
Enrique De La Piedra, 73, of Indian Shores, is accused of one count each of sexual battery and false imprisonment. He was released from Pinellas County Jail on $15,000 bail. He faces imprisonment if convicted of the charges.</p>
