Two bounty hunters and a fugitive they were tried to arrest are all dead following a shootout at a Texas car dealership on Tuesday.
Ramon Michael Hutchinson had been sought since March when he failed to appear for court in Minnesota’s Hennepin County.
According to Stew Peters, a bail investigator with a private Minneapolis-based company U.S. Fugitive Recovery and Extradition, the two bounty hunters, Fidel Garcia Jr., 54, and Gabriel Bernal, 33, had tracked 49-year-old Ramon ‘Raymond’ Michael Hutchinson to a Nissan dealership in Greenville, approximately 50 miles northeast of Dallas, Texas.

The dealership CEO confirmed that two men came to the dealership and misrepresented themselves as federal agents. They said they were waiting for someone they were planning to arrest.
They waited more than two hours until their target arrived in the company of a Nissan customer. They approached the man and pulled out handcuffs to make an arrest. That’s when the target pulled out a gun and started to fire.
The gunfight, between all three of them, happened in front of employees and customers, including children, in the showroom. Police arrived to meet three men, all dead inside the showroom.

Police set up crime scene tape around the area.

The gunfire started after the bounty hunters confronted the fugitive. Peters identified Garcia as one of the private investigators who was killed.
The gunfight took place in front employees and others in the dealership, including children, according to WFAA. Some of the glass in the showroom was shattered.
Ramon Hutchinson was in an office with another person when Bernal and Garcia approached and began giving him commands, according to Greenville officials.
Hutchinson tried to pull a pistol from his waistband but dropped it on a desk. At this point a scuffle broke out ass Hutchinson tried to pick up his gun. Hutchinson was able to retrieve his gun and began firing, and the bounty hunters fired back, police said.
About 20 shots were fired in the span of six seconds, officials said. The three men had multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

Garcia had previously made hundreds of arrests without incident, Peters said
Peters had been told by a former cop that Hutchinson was the most dangerous person he came across in 35 years on the force. Hutchinson was wanted for assaulting a law enforcement officer and possession of meth, among other charges.
