<p class="mol-para-with-font">The mother of two children has been left &#8216;devastated&#8217; and on the verge of destitution after her husband of five years was shot and killed by her ex-spouse late last month in Houston, Texas.<br />
&#8216;He was an incredible person. It’s just destroyed us, my girls and I are just destroyed,&#8217; Amanda Harris told local Houston broadcaster <a class="" href="https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/new-mexico/articles/2017-07-01/houston-area-murder-suspect-man-arrested-in-new-mexico" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">KPRC </a>following the deadly incident.<br />
League City Police say that on the night of June 28, Shayantan Ghose showed up to a party the couple had thrown at their home as an uninvited guest.</p>

Moments later Clarence Wayne Harris II was left dead on the driveway after suffering multiple gunshot wounds to his body.</p>

<p>Ghose showed up to a party at the couple&#8217;s home uninvited, leading to a heated argument, Ghose then turned the gun on his ex-wife, inflicting wounds on her legs and arms.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Two children, including the victim&#8217;s 10-year-old daughter, who witnessed the shootings narrated what they saw to Det. J. Griffith Of Houston PD.<br />
“The children were in the car with Amanda Harris when they arrived at the home and noticed Ghose standing by the front door arguing with Clarence. Ghose was then seen pointing his gun at Clarence Harris and shooting him,” Griffith said.<br />
Ghose then turned his rage towards his ex-wife Amanda.<br />
Amanda Harris, was shot twice, before Ghose took his gun, held it to her head and pulled the trigger. Luckily it did not fire.<br />
Investigators recovered a 9mm Smith and Wesson M&;P in the driveway of the home, and a 9mm Firestar Plus was found on a table by the front door. Eleven spent .40 caliber shell casings were also found at the scene.<br />
Ghose was later arrested at a border checkpoint in New Mexico after attempting to flee capture. He has been charged with murder and bail has been set for $150,000.<br />
Harris, said that the two had been divorced over nine years, but that Ghose refused to move on and stayed a presence in her life.<br />
Harris later told KPRC in an interview that the deadly incident has turned her life upside down, leaving her to care for her 11-year-old and 3-year-old daughter, who was born without an esophagus and has special needs,- with no job and no source of income.<br />
&#8216;We&#8217;re faced with losing our home and everything else,&#8217; Harris said.</p>
