<p class="mol-para-with-font">Albertus Lewis, 23, from Columbia, South Carolina was initially charged with obstruction of justice following the death of 20-year-old Mayra Sanchez. The charges have been updated to include murder.<br />
Richland County Sheriff&#8217;s Office said Sanchez was left outside the Palmetto Health Richland Hospital in Columbia on July 5, where she was pronounced dead by doctors.<br />
Her estranged boyfriend, Albertus Lewis, is accused of murdering his Mayra Sanchez, by shooting her in the upper chest and dumping her outside a hospital in a wheelchair on July 5, before fleeing.</p>

Sanchez&#8217;s mother Guadalupe Sanchez told WLTX that her family had a restraining order out against Lewis at the time of the murder.<br />
They had warned him against visiting their home in future<br />
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said Lewis has been charged with murder and obstruction of justice. He is being held in the Alvin S Glenn Detention Center.<br />
Members of Sanchez&#8217;s family have opened a<a class="" href="https://www.gofundme.com/gbwt9-funeral" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener"> GoFundMe </a>page to pay for her funeral. So far the page has raised almost $2,000.</p>
