<p>A former Pennsylvania science teacher facing sex charges after she allegedly became &#8220;obsessed&#8221; with a male student was re-arrested after police uncovered new details about the relationship.<br />
Authorities initially believed that Melissa Bonkoski, 38, and her 16-year-old victim&#8217;s romance didn&#8217;t go beyond kissing and touching, although she previously admitted to discussing oral sex with the student.<br />
During a follow-up interview earlier this month, Bonkoski told investigators she had sex with the teen, <a href="http://www.phillyvoice.com/former-philly-teacher-out-bail-arrested-sex-assault-probe/">Philly Voice reports</a>.<br />
Bonkoski said she picked up the boy from work in December. Back at her house they watched television before kissing for the first time and then having sex, police said. She admitted to investigators a series of “make out” sessions followed until all sexual contact ceased in January.<br />
The teen who initially denied sleeping with his former teacher, later confirmed that they had sex for the first time in December 2016 at her Stowe, Pennsylvania home adding that he was upset that he had cheated on his girlfriend with his former teacher.<br />
The disgraced science teacher allegedly began a relationship with the minor boy in December 2015 when he was a student in her class.<br />
Bonkoski is accused of becoming &#8220;obsessed&#8221; with the 16-year-old, bombarding his phone with text messages and calls when he tried to end things between them. In one, she allegedly begged the teen not to &#8220;shut (her) out&#8221;.<br />
Authorities allege Bonkoski used a pre-paid phone in order to avoid detection. During her interview, she told police that she thought it was &#8220;smart&#8221; and it wouldn&#8217;t be traced back to her.<br />
Bonkoski was initially detained on Aug. 17 and charged with eight felonies, including sexual assault and unlawful contact with a minor after she admitted to engaging in an inappropriate relationship with her student at Pottstown&#8217;s Owen J. Roberts High School. She was released from jail after posting her $80,000 bail.<br />
On Tuesday, prosecutors announced that Bonkoski had been arrested a second time in light of the new information.<br />
Facing an additional four felony counts for the incident, Bonkoski posted bond Tuesday after being arraigned on 12 felony counts, courts records say.</p>
