<article id="ra-body">A former Temple University student Joshua Hupperterz, was arrested Saturday in the death of a 22-year-old Temple student found brutally slain Saturday after leaving a Philadelphia bar with him on Thursday evening.</article>
<article>Hupperterz reportedly, had a scratched face at the time of his arrest which he <a href="http://www.philly.com/philly/news/police-questioning-man-in-disappearance-of-temple-student-20170902.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">claimed to have sustained</a> from a broken bowl.<br />
Jenna Burleigh was reported missing Friday after disappearing from a popular bar near the Temple campus early Thursday.<br />
Her body was found at a lakefront home in Waye County, 140 miles north of Philadelphia. The home belongs to Hupperterz’s grandmother. Police believe Burleigh, of Harleysville, was killed in Philadelphia and then taken to the Waye County property. </article>
<article>Joshua Hupperterz, 29, was arrested in her death Saturday. He confessed to “elements of the crime,” police said.<br />
He was charged with murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence and drug offenses, and held without bail.</p>

<p>She was last seen on surveillance footage leaving the bar and walking with Hupperterz to his apartment. Later a neighbor reportedly, heard screams coming from the apartment around 4 a.m. Thursday.<br />
Capt. John Ryan, commander of the homicide unit, said Philadephia police found relevant evidence at a Philadelphia apartment and a residence in Jenkintown before the body was found. Police reportedly found blood spatters in the apartment and marijuana stash valued at $20,000 as well as cash. The apartment sits around the corner from Pub Webb, a bar where Burleigh it is believed, met him for the first time.<br />
Hupperterz told university police investigators Friday that he &#8220;had been so drunk when he left the bar he had no recollection of who he had been with.&#8221; He was arrested and charged.<br />
Temple University President Richard Englert said Burleigh transferred from Montgomery County Community College a week prior and planned on studying film and media arts.<br />
“Our deepest sympathies go out to Jenna’s family and her classmates, both here at Temple and at Montgomery County Community College,” Englert said in a statement.</p>
