Serial killing aficionado Nathaniel Sebastian has been arrested for the murder of his mother, Susan Mayo
An Alabama man who idolized serial killer John Wayne Gacy is accused of murdering his mother and burying her body under her porch.
Nathaniel Sebastian was charged in the death of Susan Mayo, who had been missing since June. Mayo’s mother Doris Clark was also busted in connection with the slaying.
Mayo, 60, was found buried in a 55-gallon drum at the Wilmer home on Wednesday, the Times Picayune reports.
Sebastian, 32 has been on the radar of the Mobile County Sheriff’s office since his mother was reported missing on June 17. He had been pulled in for questioning and released, but placed under surveillance.
Wednesday deputies went to the home to investigate further: “We came to conduct an additional search warrant specifically in the area of the front porch of the home,” said Sheriff’s Captain Paul Burch.
“Once Nathaniel Sebastian realized we were about to look under the front porch he made a spontaneous statement that, ‘OK my mama’s under the front porch. Y’all got me.'”

Mayo’s 81-year-old mother Doris Clark was also arrested and charged with obstruction of justice in connection with the slaying her daughter
“He just knew he was caught and he knew what we were going to find,” Capt. Burch told AL.com.
“It really was just an unexpected, spontaneous and unsolicited statement.”
Sebastian was charged with murder and abuse of a corpse. Clark, the 81-year-old mother of the victim, was charged with obstruction of justice.
Investigators say that the accused killer was inspired to bury his mother under the house by Gacy, who killed at least 33 boys and young men and buried most of them under his Illinois home.
The Cook County Sheriff’s Department in Illinois found the body of a 16-year-old boy along with 26 others beneath Gacy’s home in December 1978. Gacy was executed in 1994.

Sebastian mentioned Gacy on Facebook and to a detective, according to News 5.
“So this isn’t surprising this is what happened here,” Burch told the station.
In an interview, Sebastian told News 5 that he “loved” his mother. However, when asked if he was bothered that she was found, he told the station, “no.”
According to Burch Mobile County prosecutors were at the scene when Sebastian made the statement. After five hours of digging underneath the front porch, investigators found a 55-gallon drum with a decomposed body inside: “The drum contained the body of what appeared to be a female. That’s about all we can tell at this point,” said Burch.
