<p>Federal and state authorities were searching Wednesday for two women who escaped a minimum-security prison earlier this week.<br />
Two female inmates doing time for narcotics related charges remain on the loose after escaping from a minimum-security prison in California early in the week..<br />
Anna Armstrong, 34, and Irene Mitchell, 37, walked away from the minimum security federal prison camp in Dublin, CA, at approximately 7:15pm on Monday, Sept. 4, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.</p>

<p>Authorities released photos of both women, as well as a surveillance photo of the 37-year-old Mitchell, who was spotted Wednesday in nearby Livermore.<br />
Both women were being held in the federal venue on narcotics charges, <a href="http://www.mercurynews.com/2017/09/06/two-female-inmates-on-the-run-after-walking-out-of-dublin-federal-prison/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according to the Mercury News</a>.<br />
Mitchell was serving a nine-year sentence and has an extensive criminal record, according to the newspaper. The suspect is Native American and is 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds. She has a neck tattoo with the word &#8220;Adan.&#8221;<br />
34-year-old Ana Armstrong was doing a five-year term that began in March. The 5-foot-5 escapee is listed as a 175 pound white female with brown hair and hazel eyes. Authorities said she has extensive family ties to Yuma, Arizona, and Lancaster in Southern California.<br />
