<p>It seemed just like minutes ago that tall redhead Remington Williams was scrubbing dishes at a fast food restaurant in Austin. In a twinkle she’s on the the high fashion catwalk at New York Fashion Week alongside the world’s top models.<br />
Serendipity at work just days ago, taking Williams away from making Mexican food at a Chipotle restaurant.<br />
As fate would have it, a scout just happened on the striking looks of the leggy redhead at the Chipotle in Austin where she worked two weeks ago. Next thing she was in New York to sign a modeling contract with DNA Models, the home of top flight models Linda Evangelista and Natalia Vodianova, before her.</p>

In the case of Remington Williams it has been a career boosted on steroids. Her chiseled cheekbones and distinct red hair unsurprisingly, have helped in no small measure.<br />

<p>Contract in hand, almost immediately the newly minted model, Williams landed one of the most prestigious jobs in modeling: a spot at Calvin Klein. After impressing casting director Ashley Brokaw and designer Raf Simons, Williams was ready to strut alongside stars like Liya Kebede and Natalie Westling, with a little help from some surprising quarters.<br />
“During my callback, Raf Simons personally taught me how to walk,” she says. “He could have picked any model, but he believed in me so much that he took the time to help me so that I could do his show.”</p>

<p>The helping hand from Simons is only one part of Williams’s fashion education. After following her turn at Calvin with Sies Marjan, she got to know designer Sander Lak and his famous sense of humor. “He was the most fun person to be around,” says Williams. “He always made me smile, and his energy is incredible. I couldn’t help but feel happy around him.”<br />
The new entrant to the the world of high fashion modeling also credits the camaraderie of her peers as a booster. Her experience in her model apartment has also been refreshingly upbeat, she said: “All of the girls I’ve met want to each other succeed, which is encouraging”.<br />
“When I walked Calvin Klein, all of my roommates watched the live stream and were cheering me on the entire way. I didn’t expect to make friends so quickly, and I know these are relationships that I’ll have for a lifetime,” Williams said</p>

Joining Gigi Hadid and Kaia Gerber as part of casting director Anita Bitton’s star-studded lineup was yet another moment that came by surprise.</div>

<p>An excited Williams said: “I was visiting the Met Museum, and then suddenly received a notification I had to fit for the Marc show in one hour at their offices in Soho&#8221;.<br />
“When I arrived, he was there to greet me. I was so giddy and excited because I felt like I was a part of the creative process from the very beginning,” Williams said.<br />
At the end of a week that has felt like a dream, the lifelong fashion fan has no intention of slowing down. The graphic design student and longtime fashion fan who says she “will never stop creating art, no matter what I am doing in my life.”<br />
Williams originally from Denver, Colorado, is already planning to continue her studies in graphic design in addition to modeling: “I love to create,&#8221; she says.<br />
With the European shows right around the corner, Williams has a few goals on her wish list—namely getting the chance to work with Pat McGrath again, finding time to visit the great museums, and, of course, mastering stilettos. “[I’ve been wearing] the heels to the grocery store and bodega near my apartment,&#8221; she says with a laugh. “Models do not get enough credit for walking in those crazy shoes—they make it look so easy!”<br />
An appreciative Williams posted on a message of appreciation to friends and fans who their outpouring of support: “Thank you so much for helping me in my journey. You along with many other people are a huge part of how I made it this far. I will be forever grateful.”</p>
