Robert Manson was drinking heavily in a fifth-floor room in the Westin Charlotte hotel in the North Carolina city when his gun, $6,000 Rolex and some cash were stolen from him, a The New York Times reports that Manson, who is a unit chief in the FBI’s international terrorism sector, was heavily intoxicated but uninjured when police were told of the incident,
The agent was visiting Charlotte on July 9 for training, and agents told police they’d spent that night drinking with women they believe were exotic dancers.

Responding officers from Charlotte- Mecklenberg police dept answering a 911 call around 6.30 on July 10 from Manson’s colleagues, found that he was still too incapacitated to make the call himself.
Another agent, Kevin Thurman, is listed as filing the report on Manson’s behalf.
Police believe the theft happened sometime between 2 and 5am, after the hotel bar was closed.

According to nn F.B.I. spokesman, Michael P. Kortan, Internal investigations is being conducted on a July incident where, Robert Manson, a unit chief in the F.B.I.’s international terrorism section, had his Glock .40-caliber handgun, a $6,000 Rolex watch and $60 in cash stolen from his room at the Westin hotel in Charlotte, NC.
Agents told the police that they had been drinking with women who said they were exotic dancers.
“Investigators determined that the victim, Robert Manson, met a woman in the hotel bar the prior night and took her back to his hotel room,” Charlotte police spokesperson Robert Tufano, said in a statement.

At 6:30 the next morning, Charlotte police were called to the hotel. Mr. Manson was incapacitated because of alcohol, according to the police report, which he did not file himself. A fellow agent, Kevin Thuman, gave the report, which says the theft happened from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m. The hotel bar closes at 2 a.m.
Robert Rufano of the Charlotte-Mecklenberg PD said ‘Mr Manson identified himself as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.’

The Glock, is still missing according to Police.
No arrests have been made. Manson has not been suspended as a result of the internal investigation.
