<article id="ra-body">An Oklahoma woman who married her biological mother last year was sentenced to 10 years of probation Tuesday for committing incest.<br />
Misty Spann, 26, pleaded guilty to illegally marrying 44-year-old Patricia Spann and was sentenced in Stepens County District Court, according to <a href="http://www.tulsaworld.com/homepagelatest/duncan-woman-receives-deferred-sentence-for-marriage-to-biological-mother/article_90aee96c-aa3d-5ee1-b3b4-4136f6c8b251.html">Tulsa World</a>.<br />
Authorities learned about the incestuous relationship after a child welfare investigation,<br />

Afterward, she and Misty “hit it off,” according to the paper. Patricia decided to marry Misty because her name wasn’t on her daughter’s birth certificate, documents say.<br />
Court records indicate that Misty Velvet Dawn Spann, 26, and 44-year-old Patricia Ann Spann, who is identified as Patricia Ann Clayton have their marriage license application, filed in March 2016 in Comanche County, Oklahoma.<br />
The mother-daughter marriage was annulled Oct. 12, six weeks after Misty Spann filed for an annulment “by reason of illegality and fraud.”<br />
She said her mother told her she had received legal advice indicating that their marriage was legal.</p>
