<p>Police in Will County, Illinois Thursday took into custody a person of interest in the disappearance and subsequent murder of a young bartender, earlier in the week.<br />
24-year-old Kaitlyn Kearns of Mokena, was reported missing only to be found dead in a car after completing a bartending shift at Woody&#8217;s Bar in Joliet, Tuesday.<br />
the report filed by the victim&#8217;s father prompted police to issue a search warrant for a nearby motorcycle gang clubhouse, according to a <a href="http://www.willcosheriff.org/pressreleases/?title=kaitlyn-kearns-found-deceased-in&;more=1&;c=1&;tb=1&;pb=1">press release</a> from the Will County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<br />
Sheriff Lt. Dan Jungles said Kearns left Woody&#8217;s at around 1.30 am on November 13 and reportedly visited the clubhouse after.<br />
&#8220;We&#8217;re still trying to piece everything together,&#8221; he said.</p>

<p>The 24-year-old was reported missing by her dad on Tuesday. <a href="http://abc7chicago.com/missing-mokena-bartender-found-murdered-in-rural-area-miles-from-home-work/2657312/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ABC 7 Chicago</a> reported that Kearns&#8217; body was found inside her 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee at around 10 p.m. on Wednesday parked in a rural area of Kankakee County.<br />
She was found with a single gunshot wound to the head. Police believe that Kaitlyn was the intended target of this homicide.</p>

<p>As part of the investigation, officials searched the Outlaws Motorcycle Club meeting place on Thursday morning, where a vehicle was taken away, according to the <a href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/daily-southtown/news/ct-sta-missing-mokena-woman-found-dead-st-1117-20171116-story.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chicago Tribune</a>.<br />
Kearns&#8217; father, Kevin Kearns, told the outlet he was unaware whether his daughter had been friendly with anyone in the Outlaws Motorcycle Club.<br />
&#8220;We don&#8217;t know anything. I have no clue,&#8221; he said.<br />
One person is reportedly being questioned about Kearns&#8217; disappearance and death. Police will not say whether he is a suspect in the homicide.<br />
Police say detectives believe this was a targeted attack and there is no threat to the public at this time.<br />
Kearns was reported missing Tuesday. She was last seen around 1:30 a.m. Monday at Woody&#8217;s Bar in Joliet, where she worked. Her shift had ended at midnight.<br />
Later Monday morning, she was a no-show at her other job at Cafe Miele in nearby Orland Park.<br />
By Monday evening, when she had not returned to the home she shared with her dad and sister, the family knew something was wrong.</p>

<p>&#8220;We talk all the time. We&#8217;re always there for each other, so I&#8217;m scared she&#8217;s not around,&#8221; said Matt Kearns, her brother.<br />
He had helped his sister get a job working with him at Barraco&#8217;s Pizzeria in Orland Park. Her family said she was always a hard worker and recently took a third job at Woody&#8217;s to pay for car repairs.<br />
The club for bikers which flies the Confederate and American flags out front, with a sign on the front door that says, &#8220;Is there life after death? Trespass here and find out.&#8221; is down the street from the Joliet bar, where Kearns was last seen after she finished her shift as a bartender Sunday night.</p>
