<p class="mol-para-with-font">Shocking details are being released about the sex lives of California &#8216;house of horrors&#8217; couple David and Louise Turpin.<br />
The mother in the &#8216;horror house&#8217;, Louise Turpin, 49, went through a spiritual and sexual awakening around the time of her 40th birthday, and she was all too eager to share it with her sister Teresa Robinette, the sibling revealed on NBC&#8217;s &#8220;Megyn Kelly Today&#8217; show.<br />
Louise and her husband David Turpin, 57, were arrested a little more than a week ago after one of their 17-year-old daughter escaped from &#8216;incarceration&#8217; at family&#8217;s home in Perris, California and called police to report that she and her siblings were being held against their will.<br />
Police raided the home and found the couple hastily untying several of the children, who were shackled to beds.<br />
Between them, the couple have pled not guilty to nearly 78 counts including torture, false imprisonment, abuse on a dependent, and child abuse. David faces an additional charge of a lewd act on a child under 14.<br />
The charges came as a shock to Louise&#8217;s sister, Teresa Robinette, who appeared on Megyn Kelly Today on Monday to discuss the case.<br />
She said she had no idea the children were being treated like prisoners in their own home.<br />
However Robinette said, she did know that her sister and brother-in-law had begun to engage in what she considered deviant sexual behavior.</p>

They really started to bond around Louise&#8217;s 40th birthday, when the family quit the church and &#8216;were experimenting with different religions&#8217;.<br />
&#8216;At the time, she said&#8230;that the older children were helping take care of the younger children so her and David could sow the wild oats they didn&#8217;t sow when they were younger,&#8217; Robinette says.<br />
Discussing the onset of the switch, Robinette says her sister called her the first time they went to a bar and got drunk. But things quickly escalated and Robinette began to find the couple&#8217;s behavior disturbing.</div>

Her sister Robinette said, told her of a plan she had, to sleep with a man she met online, with her husband&#8217;s permission.<br />
&#8216;It was a very weird thing to me, that I would never do,&#8217; Robinette said.<br />
&#8216;She told me that her and David had met a man online from Huntsville, Alabama. And they were on their way there to meet him and that she was going to sleep with him. And that David was okay with that,&#8217; Robinette said.<br />
With 13 nephews and nieces ranging in age from 2 to 29 years old, Robinette said she only met the four oldest children in person.<br />
She spoke to some of the others briefly via Skype years ago. &#8211; She recalled the &#8216;strange conversations&#8217; that she had via video chat with her nephews and nieces about seven or eight years ago.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8220;They were very friendly, but it was a very weird conversation every time because they weren&#8217;t real talkative,&#8221; she said.<br />
Both Turpins have been charged with 12 counts of torture, seven counts of abuse on a dependent adult, 12 counts of false imprisonment and six counts of child abuse.<br />
Robinette said there was a history of sexual abuse in their own family. She and Louise, as well as their mother and some cousins, were abused by a close family member, she said.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Robinette said she told her sister she thought she was making a mistake, but that Louise went through with the plan anyway.<br />
&#8216;What makes it weirder, is exactly one year to the date of the anniversary she did that, she called me and thought it was funny that David was taking her back to the exact same hotel room, the same everything, the exact same bed she slept with this man in, so that David could sleep with her in the same bed,&#8217; Robinette explained.<br />
Robinette also grew emotional in the interview as she detailed how she and her sister were sexually abused by the same &#8216;close family member&#8217;.<br />
Robinette would not identify the family member, but said it was someone &#8216;we should have loved and trusted&#8217; and who abused their mother as well.<br />
After their arrests, Robinette says that her sister and brother-in-law are &#8216;dead to me&#8217; but that she hopes to have a relationship with their children.<br />
She says she already tried to get on a plane to go out and visit the kids, but that authorities have told her they need time to recover.</p>
