<p>A gunman in a jealous rage killed four people, including the 25-year-old woman he was infatuated with, at a western Pennsylvania car wash early Sunday, authorities said.<br />
A jealous Tim Smith shot a woman he was infatuated with and three other people at a car wash in Saltlick Township, Pennsylvania early Sunday, authorities said.<br />
Smith allegedly was used an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and a 9mm handgun, in the attack.<br />
The shooter himself is not expected to survive after he was found with a bullet wound to the head, which police believe was likely self-inflicted during the 3 a.m. attack at Ed’s Car Wash in Saltlick Township.</p>

<p>Armed to the teeth with a handgun and a .308-caliber rifle, Smith fatally shot 25-year-old Chelsie Lou Cline, the woman at the heart of his obsession. A man who lives near the carwash, said he heard about 30 gun shots over a span of several minutes.<br />
Smith reportedly also shot and killed William Scott Porterfield, 29, Cortney Sue Snyder, 23, and Seth William Cline, 21, according to police.<br />
Smith is still being treated in a local hospital, while a fifth person. a woman in her early 20s, who police did not name, survived with minor injuries from broken glass.<br />
She was a passenger in a Chevy truck at the scene. She took cover in the vehicle during the shooting and is cooperating in the investigation.<br />
Sierra Kolarik, Cline’s half-sister, <a href="http://triblive.com/local/regional/13234843-74/multiple-fatalities-reported-in-fayette-county-shooting" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review</a> that Smith had become fixated with Chelsie. Describing the incident as a domestic dispute, Kolarik told the Tribune-Review that Smith and Chelsie Cline &#8216;knew each other and he developed an obsession over her,&#8217; Kolarik said.</p>

<p>However, the back and forth between the former lovers on social media was anything but ominous. Tim Smith was Facebook friends with Chelsie Cline, and he left a chilling Facebook message on her page on January 24. “After this week, I rlly need to get taken out…on a date or by a sniper either one is fine w me at this point,” Chelsie wrote.<br />
Tim Smith responded: “I could do both.”<br />
“Guys nowadays don’t want girlfriends, just want a girl who acts like a girlfriend and is loyal to them while they mess with other females,” Chelsie wrote on Facebook on January 15.<br />
Says you,” responded Smith.</p>

<p>Speaking on her husband&#8217;s death, Jenna Porterfield, the pregnant widow of shooting victim William Poterfield, said Cline had called it quits with Smith before the quadruple shooting.<br />
She revealed that Cline had spent the weekend with her slain husband of three months as the two of them struggled through a marital rough patch.<br />
Jenna Porterfield <a href="http://www.post-gazette.com/local/region/2018/01/28/Fatal-shooting-investigation-Fayette-County-Indian-Creek-Valley-Road-multiple-dead/stories/201801280150" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette </a>her husband, William Scott Porterfield, 29, was also among the victims. She added that both Chelsie Cline and Cortney Snyder were mothers. Chelsie’s Facebook page is filled with photos of her with a young child.</p>

<p>“I’m not holding that against Will. We weren’t fighting. We were fixing,” Jenna Porterfield said. “And if he was with someone else while we were having problems, honestly, I don’t care what he did. I’m not going to hold that against him.”</p>

<p>“I’d give anything to have him back,” she added.<br />
Smith waited for Cline and William Porterfield, before ambushing them as they stepped out of their vehicles at the car wash, police said.<br />
He then opened fire on Snyder and Seth Cline, who arrived next. A woman in the pickup truck suffered minor injuries from broken glass as bullets ripped through the vehicle, according to authorities.<br />
A neighbor said he heard at least 30 gunshots during the car wash attack.<br />
Smith remained on life support at a local hospital as of early Monday.</article>
