Holderness’ photo and other evidence was provided to the FBi as they conducted a background check on Porter related to his security clearance at the White House, according to The Intercept.
Willoughby also confirmed a blog post she wrote last year that detailed her abusive relationship without naming Porter.
Porter blamed she said, Holderness for his anger management issues.
Wife number one was to blame for his abuse and attacks on wife number two, he allegedly would tell Willoughby.
“In the first weeks and months, his explanation for his anger was that his first marriage had been very toxic, rooted in arguments, accusations and manipulation and he was carrying over from that relationship,” she said in her interview.
“He would say that he was so used to being treated this way by his ex-wife that he was projecting that on to me. That was the explanation.”
He has an explosive anger she said, quite unpredictable,
Willoughby says, such that she was ‘walking on eggshells’ during their marriage due to his anger management issues.

Jennifer Willoughby and Rob Porter wed Thanksgiving 2009. and it didn’t take long for his raging honeymoon personality to emerge, once again.
He called her a ‘f**king b***h’ on the honeymoon at Myrtle Beach between Christmas and New Year, she says.
‘We had already been fighting. I had already seen more extreme versions of the overreactions of anger that I had seen back in August,’ which was before they were married.
Willoughby  says she can’t recollect ‘ what triggered [the outburst], He lashed out and was really angry, and both under his breath and explicitly to me called me a ”f***ing b***h” and ”f***ing ridiculous”.
He accused me of not caring about him or not caring about his needs. ‘That whole week, or however long it was, several days, [of honeymoon] was spent with me trying not to make him upset.’
On one occasion during their short-lived marriage, Porter dragged Willoughby naked from a shower by the shoulders and yelled at her, she claims.
On June 19, 2010, she filed a protective order against Porter because he violated their separation agreement and refused to leave their apartment.
According to a complaint filed with the police, he punched the glass on the door to their home, cutting his hand in the process, subsequently he has never been given security clearance by the FBI because of his dark past.
But Porter’s former spouse said that she believes his issues are “personal and intimate” and would not have any ill effect on his job performance.
Porter denied the allegations of abuse in a statement detailing his departure.

“These outrageous allegations are simply false. I took the photos given to the media nearly 15 years ago and the reality behind them is nowhere close to what is being described,” Porter said in a statement read by Sanders. “I have been transparent and truthful about these vile claims, but I will not further engage publicly with a coordinated smear campaign.”

In December 2016, the woman wrote to Holderness: ‘Over the years I have desperately wanted to reach out to you, but Rob forbade me. I have been with Rob off and on now for a little over three years, and don’t know where to turn to discuss my experience or how to escape it.
‘I work in politics, and despite Rob’s repeated abuse, some of which I think many know about, he continues to rise and I’m afraid to go against him. I’m sorry to bother you. I wanted to reach out and hear your story if you are willing to share — as well as how you broke out of it with him and mostly, how you recovered.’

In a later message to Willoughby, the ex-girlfriend wrote: ‘I guess the questions that keep going through my head are “is it just me?!” and then sort of wondering, just what IS it with Rob, what is his psychological condition and is it redeemable or can he get help??
‘He can go from being the sweetest kindest person to a complete abusive monster in minutes.
The woman indicated a desire to speak up to FBI about the abuse but said: ‘I am just scared and feel tremendous stress over this’.
‘Rob was abusive, degrading, a liar and a cheater and during the course of my relationship with him, I found out that he was to others, too,’ the woman wrote.
‘I am just searching for someone who might be able to relate to the hell I have gone through.’
