<p>A man who impregnated 14-year-old twins and their 12-year-old sister while living in their Ohio home has been sentenced to 27 years in prison.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Arnold Perry, 34, was sentenced Thursday in Youngstown after pleading guilty to two counts of rape and one count of sexual battery in November, <a class="" href="http://www.vindy.com/news/2018/feb/08/arnold-perry-gets-27-years-impregnanting-14-year-o/?nw" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Vindicator</a> reports.<br />
Perry was a friend of the family.<br />
Judge Maureen Sweeney went two years over a recommended 25-year sentence for Arnold Perry, 34, who pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree felony rape and a third-degree felony count of sexual battery for the attacks, which took place in 2015 and 2016 in Youngstown.<br />
The girls&#8217; mother allowed him to live at their Youngstown home when he needed somewhere to stay, Assistant Mahoning County Prosecutor Jennifer McLaughlin said in court.<br />
&#8216;These girls will suffer the rest of their lives because of this,&#8217; McLaughlin told the court.<br />
She added that Perry had abused the family&#8217;s trust.<br />
The girls were impregnated in 2015 and 2016.<br />
One of the twins had an abortion while her sisters had babies because their pregnancies were discovered too late to end them, McLaughlin said.</p>

He was also accused of raping a 12-year-old in the spring of last year. He was facing life in prison, on that charge.</div>

<p>The indictment said Perry also raped a teenager, who was 13 and 14 years old at the time, from November 2015 to May 2016. On three occasions, the indictment says he threatened the victims.<br />
Prosecutors said Perry had been convicted of similar crimes in the past.<br />
Defense attorney Mark Lavelle said in court that Perry&#8217;s was the most heinous case he&#8217;d ever handled, yet argued his client should be sentenced to between 15 and 16 years in prison. Perry, Lavelle said, suffered a brain injury as a child that prevents him from having feelings about his actions.<br />
Perry apologized before sentencing.<br />
I know now what I did was wrong,&#8217; he said. &#8216;I wish I could take it back.&#8217;<br />
The girls&#8217; mother said she is raising two babies, and that Perry&#8217;s family isn&#8217;t helping her.<br />
Upon his release from prison, Perry will need to register as a Tier 3 sex offender, <a class="" href="http://www.wfmj.com/story/37460455/youngstown-man-sentenced-to-27-years-in-prison-for-child-rape" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">WFMJ</a> reports, which means that he is considered a high risk individual for the remainder of his life.</p>
