Mack, 35, joined NXIVM in 2006 and works closely with Raniere and another leader in the cult, 38-year-old Clare Bronfman, an heir to the Seagram’s fortune in running the DOS slaves
Mack, who ranked just below 57-year-old Raniere in the cult hierarchy, required the slaves under her control to engage in sexual activity with him at their upstate base
Feds say the former actress turned over naked photos of her slaves to Raniere and knew how he enjoyed sex with “multiple young women”
In return for serving as Raniere’s pimp, Mack received “financial and other benefits” from the cult leader
She faces at least 15 years behind bars and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment

Actress Allison Mack, who played Clark Kent’s best friend on TV’s “Smallville,” was arrested Friday for her starring role in a cult that turned women into sex slaves.
According to court documents, Mack, who ranked just below Raniere in the cult hierarchy, required the slaves under her control to engage in sexual activity with him at their upstate base.

Mack turned over naked photos of her slaves to Raniere and knew how he enjoyed sex with “multiple young women,” according to a detention letter filed by the feds.
In a quid-pro-quo for serving as Raniere’s pimp, Mack received “financial and other benefits” from the cult leader, authorities charged.
“Today we announce an additional arrest … in a case that brought to life an inconceivable crime,” said FBI Assistant Director-in-Charge William Sweeney.

The slaves were also required to strip naked and succumb to a ritual where each was branded near the pelvis with a symbol incorporating Raniere’s initials, officials said.
During those “ceremonies,” court papers said, Mack placed her hands on the weeping slaves’ chests while instructing the women to “feel the pain … think of (their) master.”
She then allegedly groomed the slaves for sex with Raniere — ordering them to adhere to extremely restrictive diets, refrain from removing their pubic hair, and to stay celibate, according to court documents.
She also forced them to pose naked for photos — “including on one occasion close-up pictures of their vaginas” — which were given to Raniere and also used as collateral, the feds charge.

Mack and other slave “masters” allegedly made their slaves participate in “readiness” drills, requiring them to respond to requests at any time of the day or night so they were “seriously sleep-deprived.”
One of her slaves became so thin and tired that she stopped getting periods.
The German born actress debuted in the part of Chloe Sullivan on “Smallville” in October 2001, staying around for its 10-season run on the WB/CW network, was recruited to Nxivm by fellow “Smallville” star Kristin Kreuk in 2006 and rose up the ranks into Raniere’s inner circle, while Kreuk ultimately left.

The cult endured as an ongoing extortion plot, with the women forced to follow Raniere’s directions after revealing “highly damaging information about themselves or family members,” authorities charged.
Raniere threatened to use the information against the women unless they went along with the self-serving tenets of his bizarre society.
Raniere, 57, who lived outside Albany, received financing for his twisted operation from Clare Bronfman, an heir to the Seagram’s liquor fortune, according to authorities. He was jailed pending a bail hearing next Friday.
He was arrested March 25 in Mexico and returned to the United States for prosecution.
