Jasmine Zheng is suing Zhiwei Zheng, her ex-boyfriend for dumping her and ‘trading up’ after winning $500,000 gambling in Atlantic City.<br />
After returning from a January jaunt to Atlantic City, Zhiwei from New Jersey went on a wild $500,000 winning streak at the Atlantic City baccarat tables with his girlfriend at his side, but after returning in January he stashed the cash and kicked her to the curb, she claims in a federal lawsuit.<br />
Jasmine says that in January she and her then-boyfriend Zhiwei, 26, took a trip from Manhattan’s Chinatown to Atlantic City for a night of gambling.<br />
Prior to this Jasmine claims, her ex-boyfriend, an avid gambler who was on a losing run. However,on this night he went on an incredible winning streak at the baccarat tables that netted him a half million dollars.<br />
Recalling her her introduction to the world of gambling, Jasmine who had never gambled before said<br />
‘I never gambled before I met him,’ Jasmine Zheng said: &#8220;At first I was standing there watching him, after that we started gambling together.&#8221;</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The 21-year-old, from New York&#8217;s China town who says that she and her then-boyfriend had agreed to pool their money and to split the winnings, described herself as his ‘good luck charm’.<br />
Usually, he would lose upward of $2,000 per bet. When she started to take an interest and play alongside Zhiwei however, their fortunes started to change.<br />
‘I kinda figured it out when I was watching,’ she said.<br />
As the couple kept winning, they bragged about their good fortune on social media.<br />
‘Finally Made it!! 26 sittin’ on half a million!’ Zhiwei wrote on Facebook.<br />
Zhiwei posted another picture in which he shows off a new watch.<br />
‘$38,000 Rolex . . . Mine for Life,’ he wrote.<br />
According to Jasmine Zheng’s lawsuit, the couple used her casino comp card to gamble.<br />
That means any winnings &#8211; and taxes owed &#8211; were recorded in her name, the lawsuit alleges.<br />
When the pair left Atlantic City in January, their half million winnings was packed as cash stuffed in his backpack. Jasmine says she trusted Zhiwei and didn’t mind the fact that he held on to all of the money: &#8220;It’s too scary for me,&#8221; she says.<br />

But soon afterward, he began to ‘change,’ she says.<br />
‘He was, like, talking to other girls, flirting with other girls and I couldn’t handle that, and he said, “If you cannot handle that, then we just broke up,” and he found another girlfriend right away,’ she said.<br />
Jasmine says she was heartbroken that the relationship ended so quickly, ‘I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I was crying all day. I was so hurt.’<br />
Zhiwei allegedly has been has been flaunting his newfound wealth: ‘I seen him about a month ago,’ the neighbor said.<br />
‘He had a big chain, a Cuban Link, more than 100 grams&#8230;He says, “I got it from my girlfriend.” He upgraded.’<br />
Jasmine asked Zhiwei’s father to give her a half of their winnings as she says she was promised so that she could pay tax. But his father allegedly advised her to lie to the government.<br />
‘You just tell them you lose all the money, then you don’t have to pay the tax for it,’ she claims the father told her.<br />
Jasmine is seeking $500,000 in damages.</p>
