<p class="mol-para-with-font">A Nebraska couple who told police a 24-year-old missing woman was killed in a group sex act gone wrong has been charged with murder.<br />
Court documents released Tuesday offered a premeditated and grisly account of the last days of Sydney Loofe.<br />
Aubrey Trail and Bailey Boswell both are charged with first-degree murder, and both were ordered held without bond during a hearing in Saline County Tuesday morning.<br />

Investigators said Loofe&#8217;s remains were found in several garbage bags east of Clay Center, Nebraska, three weeks after her disappearance.<br />
Boswell, 23, and Trail, 51, had previously been &#8216;persons of interest&#8217; and were arrested shortly after Loofe vanished on November 16 for unrelated fraud charges. The couple remains in jail.<br />
Trail told authorities and several media outlets earlier this year that Loofe&#8217;s death was an accident but police aren&#8217;t buying his story.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Trail and Boswell were both charged with premeditated murder and not an accidental death, the <a class="class" href="http://www.omaha.com/news/crime/months-after-sydney-loofe-s-death-aubrey-trail-bailey-boswell/article_c84edd79-8975-5422-9dce-251aa36fe2d2.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Omaha World-Herald</a> reports.<br />
Loofe&#8217;s parents, George and Susie, have not spoken to the media about the 24-year-old cashier&#8217;s death but posted on the <a class="class" href="https://www.facebook.com/CelebratingSydneyLoofe/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Celebrating Sydney Loofe</a> Facebook page that she was often &#8216;lonely&#8217; even though she had a lot of friends.<br />
&#8216;She was looking for that one special person with whom she could spend time. She took to Tinder to look for that person and unfortunately, found someone that had nothing but evil plans for her,&#8217; George and Susie wrote.<br />
During a February interview with the <a class="class" href="http://www.omaha.com/news/crime/aubrey-trail-says-he-accidentally-suffocated-sydney-loofe/article_3ae45846-17aa-5edc-86da-aaf93d9464ab.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Omaha World-Herald </a>Trail said that Loofe was a willing participant in a sexual fantasy with himself and two other women. Trail said his girlfriend, Boswell, was high on drugs and in another room when Loofe died.<br />
Loofe had met Boswell on the dating app Tinder.<br />
Trail told the outlet that Loofe was accidentally suffocated during the sex act. He said there had been something around her neck.<br />
&#8216;It was suffocation. It happened in Saline County,&#8217; he said.<br />
&#8216;It wasn&#8217;t supposed to go to the extreme it went, of course not. It wasn&#8217;t meant that she was to die.&#8217;<br />
Investigators identified the pair as persons of interest early on, after Loofe disappeared following a Nov. 15 date with Boswell in Wilber. The two had met on the mobile dating app Tinder.<br />
Her family had reported her missing Nov. 16 after she didn&#8217;t show up for work at the north Lincoln Menards. In the meantime, Trail and Boswell had skipped town<br />
Loofe&#8217;s remains were subsequently found nearly a month later in rural Clay County, on Dec. 4. Investigators said they also found evidence of foul play in her death.</p>

<p>Shortly after they were declared persons of interest in the case of missing Lincoln woman, Sydney Loofe. Trail and Boswell posted a video on a Facebook page dedicated to finding Sydney Loofe.<br />
Lincoln police a day earlier, said they were looking for 51-year-old Aubrey Trail and 23-year-old Bailey Boswell, <a href="http://www.3newsnow.com/news/local-news/lincoln-police-release-two-persons-of-interest-in-missing-woman-case">calling them &#8220;persons of interests&#8221; in the case</a>.<br />
Loofe&#8217;s family reported missing on Nov. 16 when she didn&#8217;t show up to work that day.<br />
The pair, under the profile &#8216;AubreyBailey Trawell&#8217;, posted the video the next day to the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/FindingSydneyLoofe/">&#8220;Finding Sydney Loofe&#8221; Facebook page</a>. The video was deleted a few hours after it was posted, claimed they had been cooperating with police.<br />
Boswell said that on Nov. 15, she picked Loofe up for their second date, and that the two drive around smoking weed. Boswell said she then took Loofe to her house, where they smoked &#8220;wax&#8221; and &#8220;shatter,&#8221; before dropping her off at a friend&#8217;s house.</p>

<p class="">&#8220;I went to take her home, and she asked me to drop her off at a friend&#8217;s house,&#8221; Boswell said in the video. &#8220;And I did so. I gave her my number. We were planning on going to the casino that weekend. I haven&#8217;t heard from her since.&#8221;<br />
Police say Loofe was last seen in Wilber, Neb., the night before she was reported missing. Trail says he and Boswell live together in Wilber and they were the ones to provide that information to investigators.<br />
In the video, Trail said he has been &#8220;crucified on Facebook and crucified by newspapers.&#8221; He ends the video by saying, &#8220;they [local authorities] are chasing around like dogs, I wish the family the best, I mean no disrespect to anyone and as far as the police department, [expletive] you.&#8221;<br />
Trail later admitted their story of dropping Loofe off at a friend&#8217;s was not true.<br />
The FBI arrested Boswell, and Trail at a hotel near Branson, Missouri, on Nov. 30 and brought them back to Nebraska.</p>

<p class="">And in jailhouse phone calls to reporters in the months since, Trail has claimed responsibility and called on prosecutors to charge him. Ultimately, he said, Loofe&#8217;s death was an accident.<br />
On Feb. 5, he said in a phone call to the Journal Star that Loofe died at his hands, the result of what he called accidental asphyxiation.</p>

Trail also told the outlet that he thought he deserved to die for what he had done.<br />
&#8216;A life for a life — that&#8217;s the rules in my world. I should be put to death,&#8217; he told Omaha World-Herald.<br />
Contradicting the video he and Boswell had posted online denying their involvement in the woman&#8217;s disappearance. Trail now says Loofe died early Nov. 16 in a house in Saline County. He wouldn&#8217;t say where, but said he was in a room with Loofe and two other women, and that he was holding an object that restricted Loofe&#8217;s breathing and — according to him , unintentionally caused her death.<br />
He didn&#8217;t call 911 because he didn&#8217;t think police would believe his story, Trail said.<br />
Despite Trail&#8217;s statements, Attorney General Doug Peterson&#8217;s office only made the formally announcement Monday that the pair had been charged with first-degree murder and improper disposal of human skeletal remains.<br />
The charges were filed under seal, so further details remain a secret for now.<br />
Trail and Boswell remained at the Saline County jail, where they were served with court papers Monday afternoon.<br />
They are set to make their first appearances Tuesday at 11 a.m., where they will be told the charges and possible penalties and be appointed counsel.<br />
The two are awaiting sentencing in the federal fraud case.</p>
