A Harris County man stabbed and beat his girlfriend’s husband to death after being the victim of a prank, police said.
Thomas Henry Rolle, 29, is being held without bond in the Harris County Jail on a murder charge in the killing of the girlfriend’s husband, Jason Ryan Maas, 37, on Sunday.
Deputies found Maas on Sunday morning lying in a pool of blood in front of a northwest Harris County credit union. He had multiple stab wounds.
The stabbing possibly occurred because of a dispute over a prank. Maas, who was in the process of getting a divorce from his wife, allegedly stole and hid a Rolle’s ID card as well as a car that Rolle and Maas’ wife used, according to court documents.
A friend was believed to be with him during the prank.
