<p>A California man suspected in multiple bank robberies throughout the state killed himself just hours after holding up one last bank, authorities said Saturday.<br />
A male suspect flashed a gun and presented a note demanding cash from a teller at a bank in Goleta on Friday, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.</p>

<p>After getting away with an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect drove to a nearby nail salon and locked himself inside a bathroom, officials said.<br />
Police evacuated about 15 people and surrounded the small business. They later entered the building with a dog team and found Keith David Goodwin, 41, dead in the bathroom from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, a sheriff&#8217;s statement said.<br />
Goodwin, of Fresno, was suspected of robbing at least nine banks over the past two months, the statement said.</p>

<p>Keith Goodwin of Fresno, reportedly robbed the First Republic Bank in Danville on July 12. He was identified via a license plate-reading surveillance camera after witnesses saw him taking off in a red Nissan Altima, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.<br />
Danville police detectives secured a warrant for Goodwin&#8217;s arrest two days later and worked closely with the FBI and other law enforcement agencies to find him, the newspaper said.<br />
Investigators said the suspect in the Goleta robbery drove away from the bank in a red Nissan Altima.</p>
