<p class="mol-para-with-font">The man who fatally stabbed his two children Marcel Ndossoka, 8, and his one-year-old sister, Anna-Belle Faith Ndossoka, while they were visiting him at his Houston, Texas home on Saturday.<br />
The suspect told police that the kids begged for their lives before he slit their throats.<br />
Jean Pierre Ndossoka told authorities that his eight-year-old son pleaded with him while his daughter, one, just cried.<br />
&#8216;Daddy, I&#8217;m sorry,&#8217; the little boy said, according to court documents.<br />
61-year-old Ndossoka then fled Southwest Houston after the double slaying. Police found the fugitive in his car in Pasadena the next morning, still alive but bleeding from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<br />
<a class="class" href="https://www.chron.com/news/houston-texas/article/Daddy-I-m-sorry-Children-cried-begged-before-13137533.php?ipid=hpctp" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Houston Chronicle</a> reports that Ndossoka had been calling his estranged-wife, Sabine Ntongo, while she was at work.<br />
At around 3.30pm Ndossoka called her and told her he&#8217;d killed the children and had &#8216;left a present&#8217; for her.<br />

Ntongo called 911 and rushed over to Ndossoka&#8217;s apartment in southwest Houston, where she found both children stabbed to death, lying on the bed.<br />
Officers found a bloody knife and hand-written note in French close to the bed. It said that Ntongo would &#8216;carry the burden&#8217; of her two children&#8217;s soul.<br />
&#8216;Daddy, I&#8217;m sorry,&#8217; the little boy was said to have said. He is pictured with his sister.<br />
[Ndossoka [left] in his note said he planned to die with his children.<br />
But Ndossoka had fled and when police found him, he had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.<br />
Houston police say 61-year-old Jean Pierre Ndossoka was taken to a hospital in stable condition Sunday after authorities located him in Pasadena, just southeast of Houston.<br />
The tragedy began to unfold early Saturday, after Sabine Ntongo dropped her kids off at their father&#8217;s apartment for visitation, police said, before their dad murdered them and fled his home.<br />
All day, Ndossoka called his wife while she was at work. Mid-afternoon, he told her she needed to come by his apartment.<br />
He&#8217;d killed the children and &#8220;left her a present,&#8221; he allegedly said. There would be a key under the mat so she could come find it, he told her, according to court records.<br />
He was charged with two counts of capital murder, one for each child.<br />
If convicted, he could face the death penalty.</p>

Responding officers found a bloody knife and a hand-written note in French near the bed, telling Ntongo she would &#8220;carry the burden&#8221; of her children&#8217;s souls. Ndossoka wrote that he planned to die with the kids, records show.<br />
But, in fact, he had already fled. Police put out a vehicle description and mounted a search.<br />
After a day on the run, Jean Pierre Ndossoka shot himself overnight before police found him, still alive, in his car in Pasadena. Authorities eventually picked him up in Pasadena around 1 a.m. He was rushed to Clear Lake Regional Hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening wounds.</div>

After he was arrested, he claimed to have had high blood pressure and while he initially claimed to have not remembered what happened, he admitted that he &#8216;did something bad&#8217; while at the hospital.</p>

Eventually, he told investigators his children&#8217;s last words. He was arrested and charged Sunday.<br />
The children&#8217;s mother Sabine Ntongo was seen in tears outside of the Houston home after finding her children stabbed to death. Heartbreaking photos emerged showing the grief-stricken mother being comforted by relatives.</div>
