<p>A teenager in Chicago was found strangled, stabbed, set on fire on Tuesday. Police said that when he made a bid to escape his tormentors white aflame, he was then mowed down with an SUV in a gruesome murder plotted by his ex-girlfriend and two accomplices.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Police found the smoldering body of Luis Guerrero, 18, on Tuesday, in an open field near the Chicago public library.<br />
The teen, who moved to Chicago from Mexico when he was in fifth grade, was the victim of a bloody act of revenge launched by his ex-girlfriend 16-year-old Tia Brewer along with two of her friends, Francisco Alvarado, 18, and Jesus Correa, 18, police say.<br />
Brewer, who used to date Guerrero, claims he had raped her and this was payback, but police haven&#8217;t found indication that she reported the assault, according to <a class="class" href="https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2018/08/16/luis-guerrero-murdered-west-chicago-strangled-stabbed-run-over-lit-fire/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">CBS</a>.<br />
Guerrero was lured to meet with the group past midnight at the West Chicago Public Library on Tuesday where Alvarado allegedly attacked from behind and strangled the victim with a belt.</p>

The depraved murder was executed by Alvarado and Brewer who stabbed Guerrero 16 times in the neck, cops say.<br />
Then they threw his body into a car and drove him to a nearby field where he was doused in gasoline, provided by Jesus Corea, and set on fire in a fire pit.<br />
Guerrero ran for his life, leading Alvarado and Brewer to run over him with a Jeep Cherokee.<br />
They brought him back to a fire pit, placed him under a bench, and set him on fire again, alive. They left the scene, leaving him for dead.<br />
His body was discovered around 11.30am on Tuesday by West Chicago Fire Department workers conducting a training exercise. He was found not far from Alvarado&#8217;s residence, police say.<br />
Alvarado&#8217;s parents found blood stains in their Jeep and approached police at the scene of the fire pit, near their residence. Cops said they found blood on the Jeep&#8217;s undercarriage.<br />
&#8216;The facts alleged in this case are brutal and heinous and evidence of an unconscionable degree of depravity,&#8217; State Attorney Robert Berlin said.</p>

Alvarado, and Brewer were charged with first degree murder, armed robbery, and concealment of a homicidal death. They were denied bail at a hearing on Thursday at DuPage County Courthouse, according to the <a class="class" href="http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/breaking/ct-met-west-chicago-burning-body-murder-charges-20180816-story.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Chicago Tribune</a>.<br />
Jesus Correa, who was asked by the pair to buy gasoline used to set the victim on fire, was charged with concealment of a homicidal death and held on $100,000 bail.</p>

The couple was found in a Chicago motel on Wednesday and they were arrested.<br />
They were discovered with a knife and screwdriver, believed to have been used in the attack.<br />
The three will return to court on September 13. Alvarado and Brewer could face life in prison if convicted on murder charges.</div>
