The disturbing photos show a blood-splattered pair of pants, a strained dark brown pair of dress shoes and a once-white bedsheet, which had been dumped in the trash near the Manhattan party boy&#8217;s home.<br />

<p>Jurors at James Rackover’s murder trial in Manhattan Supreme Court were shown dozens of items recovered from trash bags at the Grand Sutton on E. 59th St. near First Ave. within two days of the horrific slaying of 26-year-old Joseph Comunale, including the victim’s torn, bleach-stained clothes, driver’s license and college ID, plus blood-stained towels and empty bottles of household cleaners.<br />
Cops even found a dry cleaning receipt with Rackover’s name and apartment number on it alongside damning evidence of the brutal murder that occurred in his apartment on Nov. 13, 2016, prosecutors said.</p>

<div>Rackover, 27, and Lawrence Dilione, 30, beat and repeatedly stabbed Comunale before trying to dismember him in the bathtub after an argument at a drug and booze-fueled party, prosecutors charge. They then covered his body in plastic wrap and a blanket, tossed it out a window from the rear of the building and drove to Oceanport, N.J., where they dumped it in a shallow grave, according to the DA.<br />
On Tuesday, jurors at James Rackover’s murder trial were shown the blood-stained clothes and shoes from the from the night he allegedly stabbed to death Joey Comunale, including a set of pants recovered from the trash that had blood stains all over them.<br />

<p>The jury also saw the victim’s bleach-stained clothes, including a gray sweatshirt that smelled strongly of bleach, his driver’s license and college ID.<br />
Blood-stained towels and empty bottles of household cleaners were also seen in court.<br />
The victim&#8217;s body was found three days after the gruesome murder.<br />
His body had been mutilated, burned and buried in a shallow grave in Oceanport, New Jersey, where the other defendant, Lawrence Dilione lived.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Last week Thursday, the victim&#8217;s father Patsy Comunale, was seen crying as he relived his last few interactions with his son.<br />
&#8216;It would have been at my house,&#8217; Patsy said, noting that he knew his son intended to go out the night that he died.<br />
&#8216;He wasn’t feeling well. He went out anyway.&#8217;<br />
When horrific crime scene pictures were shown, revealing Joey&#8217;s burned and mud-covered remains, both Patsy and Joey&#8217;s mother, Lisa Comunale, reportedly struggled to keep their composure.<br />
At one point, Lisa was seen with Patsy&#8217;s arm around her as she cried into her hands. Patsy, meanwhile, held back more tears.</p>

<div class="mobile-gallery-icon">Meanwhile, Rackover, dressed in a tailored three-piece suit, was said to have shown no emotion during Patsy&#8217;s testimony and when the crime scene pictures were shown.<br />
During his opening statement, Assistant District Attorney Peter Casolaro said that Rackover &#8216;lied to everyone who asked about what happened to&#8217; Joey while the Comunales were searching for him before his body was discovered.<br />
Casolaro also said that Comunale had no chance at defending himself against the attack that ended his life, due to how intoxicated he had been at the time, and said that Rackover was a killer with &#8216;a monstrous indifference for human life&#8217;.<br />
Rackover&#8217;s defense lawyer, Maurice Sercarz, asked no questions of Patsy while he was on the witness stand. &#8216;I only have condolences,&#8217; Sercarz said.<br />
Sercarz, however, did take the opportunity to deflect the charges away from his client and towards Dilione, whom he suggested was the person who actually killed Comunale,<br />
suggesting instead that his client&#8217;s part was just that he &#8216;succumbed to the need to get that body out of the apartment and assisted in that endeavor&#8217;.<br />
Dilione&#8217;s murder trial is expected to begin in January.<br />

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Max Gemma, 30, who was also said to have been at Rackover&#8217;s apartment the night Joey was killed, has been charged with helping in the clean up attempt, but not for Joey&#8217;s murder.<br />
Rackover is said to be the &#8216;surrogate son&#8217; of celebrity jeweler Jeffrey Rackover, who has designed jewelry for A-Listers like of Jennifer Lopez and Melania Trump.<br />
Jeffrey Rackover has since distanced himself from his &#8216;adoptive&#8217; son, but was named in a lawsuit filed in June 2017 alleging he helped to cover up the murder.<br />
The victim&#8217;s family claim he is complicit because he provided cleaning supplies to James and alleged that the pair were in a sexual relationship.<br />
The lawsuit also alleged the jeweler allowed James Rackover borrow his Mercedes-Benz to dispose of the victim&#8217;s dismembered remains on the Jersey Shore.</p>
