An Oregon man has been sentenced to nearly two years in prison and ordered to register as a sex offender for raping a horse last year.
Kenneth Duyck, 21, plead guilty on Jan 18 to charges of sexual assault of an animal, burglary and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Duyck was arrested in April, after a homeowner near Hillsboro, Oregon, discovered a break in at her stables. She also found her black mare named Ellie tied up in an unusual way.
A black mare named Ellie was found with foreign bodily fluid inside her ;in a rural home’s barn on this street near Hill, Oregon, last April
The homeowner said that she took a photo of Ellie and sent it to her daughter, a veterinarian, who said that it appeared as though someone had engaged in sexual contact with the horse, according to court documents obtained by ;Fox 12.
Authorities examined Ellie and collected DNA evidence from her.
The day before discovering the sexual assault of her horse, the homeowner told deputies that a man had called her and asked for permission to sleep on her property, but she turned him away.

After the call, the homeowner said that she saw a ‘homeless-looking’ man, who identified himself as being Duyck, talking with her neighbors.
Duyck was arrested on April 24 after deputies found him sleeping in his car in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter in nearby Cornelius.
Following his arrest, authorities collected Duyck’s DNA, which was a match to the fluid found inside Ellie the horse.
Deputies said that Duyck claimed to have broken into the stable to groom the horse, but later admitted to ejaculating on the horse’s tail. He also claimed it was the first and only time he had sexually assaulted a horse.
The probable cause affidavit revealed that Duyck stated that he believed he made a ‘bad decision’ because he had not been taking his medications for autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder for more than a month.
