<p>A Playboy model accused of murdering a California psychiatrist who had been paying her rent before his body was found rotting in her car has appeared in court.<br />
Kelsey Nichole Turner, 25, faced court in Stockton, California on Monday where she is being held pending her extradition to Nevada after being arrested last month over The Thomas Kirk Burchard murder.<br />
Dr. Burchard&#8217;s body was discovered in the trunk of a Turner&#8217;s Mercedes coupe, abandoned on East Lake Mead near Las Vegas, on March 7.</p>

The victim&#8217;s Burchard&#8217;s longtime girlfriend Judy Earp, told police she believed Turner was involved in Burchard&#8217;s disappearance.<br />
Turner moved into a rental home near Warm Springs Road and Amigo Street in December &#8211; paid for by Burchard. Earp said that Burchard had signed a lease for a home in Salinas, California where Turner had lived for &#8216;about a year&#8217; with her mother and children.</p>

According to the arrest report, the blood evidence suggested Burchard was attacked in the vehicle. Among the discoveries was cleaning supplies and evidence of an attempted cover-up.<br />
&#8220;All I know Tom was a big guy, almost six feet, 250 pounds. I don&#8217;t think one woman could get him into the trunk of the car,&#8221; Earp said.</p>

<div>Police found the rented home unlocked but no one there, according to court documents, and a neighbor reported seeing Burchard with Turner.<br />
Inside, according to police, a bloody door was ripped away from the hinges, and in the garage, the reported indicated more apparent blood, cleaning supplies and evidence of a cleanup.<br />
In the Mercedes, investigators recovered Burchard&#8217;s vest and house keys; collected fingerprint and possible DNA evidence; noted apparent blood residue on seats and blue latex gloves; and found cleaning supplies.<br />
&#8216;Blood evidence in the back seat suggested Burchard was attacked in the vehicle,&#8217; police said in Turner&#8217;s arrest warrant application.<br />
The Clark County coroner ruled the case a homicide, finding that Burchard was struck multiple times in the head with an unidentified object that left what police called a unique pattern.<br />
