<p class="mol-para-with-font">A newly released arrest warrant reveals how a new boyfriend and a Caesar&#8217;s Palace bartender allegedly helped a glamor model in the killing of a California doctor.<br />
The two female roommates, including a former Playboy model,  ;Kelsey Nichole Turner, 25, who is reportedly pregnant, and casino bartender Diana Nicole Pena, 30, were booked into jail in Las Vegas over the weekend for the March <a href="https://konniemoments.com/2019/04/09/playboy-model-25-accused-of-murdering-a-california-psychiatrist-71-who-had-been-paying-her-rent-before-his-body-was-found-rotting-in-her-mercedes-in-court-for-extradition-hearing/">murder of ;Dr Thomas Kirk Burchard</a>, 71.</p>

Turner&#8217;s boyfriend, 27-year-old Jon Logan Kennison, remains at large. All three are charged with murder and conspiracy to murder.<br />
Turner was apprehended in Stockton, California, on March 21, while she was with her child and Kennison, but he wasn&#8217;t considered a suspect at the time and has since gone missing.<br />
Kennison and Pena were added to the homicide complaint on April 5, by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The warrant was filed April 5.</p>

<p class="p-text">On March 7, Burchard&#8217;s body was found beneath clothing in the trunk of a blue two-door 2017 Mercedes-Benz C300 coupe in the desert outside Las Vegas.<br />
The Clark County coroner ruled the case a homicide, finding that Burchard was struck multiple times in the head with an unidentified object that left what police called a unique pattern.<br />
Burchard also bore what police called defensive wounds.<br />
Police say the car was registered to Turner and that all three suspects&#8217; fingerprints were found inside the vehicle.<br />

Police believe Burchard died sometime after midday March 3. An autopsy revealed he was bludgeoned to death with an unknown item that left distinctive mark.<br />
Turner was arrested two weeks later on March 21, ;<a href="https://www.thecalifornian.com/story/news/2019/04/04/kelsey-turner-psychiatrist-murder-arrest-warrant-details/3361177002/" data-track-label="inline|intext|n/a">authorities arrested Turner ;</a>in Stockton on suspicion of killing Burchard. At the time of the arrest, Turner was with her child and her boyfriend Kennison, who wasn&#8217;t sought as a suspect.<br />
A warrant was issued however, April 5 for Kennison and Pena after investigators uncovered new evidence, including phone records and witness statements.<br />

During a visit to Vegas, Burchard stayed with Turner at the home, which she shared with Kennison, Pena and at least one other man. That other man, whose name is redacted, decided to move out following an argument March 2.<br />
A woman had also shown up at the home inebriated and got into an argument with Turner. Burchard intervened and took the woman on a drive around the block.<br />
Turner and Burchard had an intimate relationship, and while out on the drive with Burchard March 2, Turner worried the woman might tell Burchard about Kennison.<br />
A witness told detectives that Kennison also made violent statements at the time, shoving or punching one man while Burchard was briefly away.<br />
A witness who knew Turner for two years told detectives that Turner started hanging around Kennison and his friends, which appeared to change her as a person.</p>

<p class="p-text">The warrant states that detectives found Pena&#8217;s card for her job bartending at Caesars Palace in the Mercedes-Benz. Her prescription medication was also found at Turner&#8217;s home, where she lived.<br />
Pena and Turner who appear to be close friends. Between February 8 and March 8, Turner communicated over the phone with Pena more than with Kennison, who had just moved in, police said.<br />
After Burchard&#8217;s death, phone records and other evidence show &#8220;Turner, Pena and Kennison abandoned the home, despite March&#8217;s rent being paid&#8221; by Burchard.<br />
They trio stayed briefly at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino before permanently turning off their phones.<br />
Turner and Kennison fled the state, but a California fugitive team arrested Turner March 21 in Stockton while she was with Kennison and her young child.</p>

Pena had rented a room at the Rio All-Suites from March 4 until March 9, when housekeeping personnel discovered her property was in the room but she was not. Suspected to have skipped on March 8, hotel security said.<br />

Pena&#8217;s employers at Caesar&#8217;s Palace told cops that she never showed up for work after March 6, and never called in to explain her absence.<br />
When police searched her possessions, they found five pieces of paper bearing Burchard&#8217;s handwriting, Turner&#8217;s Nevada driver&#8217;s license and several of Pena&#8217;s prescription bottles.<br />
Investigators are convinced Burchard was attacked in Turner&#8217;s Vegas rental sometime after midday on March 3, after speaking to a man Turner offered ; $20 to clean up red stains March 4 in the home, according to the warrant. She also tried to convince a departing roommate who was absent at the time to repair a door that had been broken in half and torn off the hinges.</div>

<p class="p-text">The cleaner told police he thought the red stains were wine, not blood.<br />
Despite the cleaning, ; &#8220;apparent blood&#8221; ; stains was found throughout the northwest upstairs bedroom, including on &#8220;a mattress, both bed frames, the north wall, a small table and on a DirecTV receiver,&#8221; according to the warrant.<br />
They also found several items with Kennison&#8217;s name in Turner&#8217;s bedroom.<br />
The handyman did not believe Turner&#8217;s explanation that they had busted in the door because someone had locked themselves in the room, which had bunk beds.<br />
The &#8220;[cleaner], believed the damage to the door and the door frame was the likely result of a fight.<br />
&#8220;[He] saw Pena scrubbing an apparent red stain on the floor with a bottle of pet stain remover,&#8221; police said.<br />
That cleaner was never paid.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Twisting her tale further, Turner later gave the same excuse to a roommate March 6 when he went to remove his belongings.<br />
She asked the roommate and his friend to clean the house and use Burchard&#8217;s credit card to replace the door so the landlord wouldn&#8217;t know.<br />
But the broken door wasn&#8217;t the only thing they noticed — the garage &#8220;reeked&#8221; of ammonia, for which Turner blamed the cat.<br />
Turner and Burchard had known each other for about two years. Burchard&#8217;s long-time girlfriend, Judy Earp, has told the Salinas Californian he&#8217;d given Turner at least $300,000 in that time.<br />
She&#8217;d moved to Las Vegas in 2018, but her family in Salinas, California used to live in an apartment Burchard had paid for<br />
Turner was extradited to Nevada on April 13.<br />
Kennison had agreed to meet with detectives at one point, but then never returned.<br />
Pena was arrested on April 13, and made her first court appearance on Sunday.<br />
She is set to have a case status check on Tuesday, and both her and Turner have ;preliminary hearings scheduled in the case on June 3.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Burchard, a psychiatrist from Salinas, California, had known Turner for about two years and had given her some $300,000 over that time, the doctor&#8217;s longtime girlfriend Judy Earp told ;<a class="class" href="https://www.thecalifornian.com/story/news/2019/04/12/heres-how-bartender-new-boyfriend-helped-kill-salinas-doctor/3449613002/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Californian</a>.<br />
Earp said that Burchard had previously signed a lease for a home in Salinas where Turner had lived with her mother and children before moving to Las Vegas in 2018.<br />
She said the model, who appeared in Playboy Italia and Maxim, had told Burchard that she couldn&#8217;t qualify for a lease because she had bad credit.<br />
n Las Vegas, Turner was living with her boyfriend Kennison as well as Pena and another male roommate, whose name was redacted in warrant affidavits and who moved out after things turned ugly in the home on March 2.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Police say that the doctor traveled from his base in Salinas, California to Las Vegas on March 1 to visit the ex-model.<br />
He&#8217;d paid for the March rent on the home Turner shared with the other suspects. Police describe the doctor&#8217;s relationship with the ex-model as intimate.<br />
The next time Kirk Burchard was seen, his body was rotting in the trunk of the models Mercedes-Benz coupe, abandoned on a lonely highway, outside Las Vegas</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">On March 4, Turner offered a man $20 to clean up red stains in the home, claiming they were red wine. Police found extensive blood evidence throughout the house, seemingly concentrated around a mattress in an upstairs bedroom.<br />
A roommate who had moved out also returned to see a badly damaged bedroom door, which Turner claimed happened when someone got locked in the room.<br />
He said that Turner tried to convince him to clean up the house and replace the broken door using Burchard&#8217;s credit card. Instead he gathered his belongings and left.<br />
The roommate said he also noticed that the garage smelled strongly of ammonia, which Turner blamed on the cat.<br />
Turner, Kennison and Pena all skipped town in the following days, abandoning the residence with rent up to date and kitchen fully stocked with food. according to police, permanently turning off their phones when the media reported that Burchard&#8217;s body had been found on March 7.</p>

Burchard&#8217;s girlfriend Earp told police that he may have been suffering from early Alzheimer&#8217;s.<br />
Judy Earp would not elaborate on how Turner and Burchard knew each other, only saying she did not believe the model was one of his patients.<br />
Sources have previously said that Burchard and Turner met online.<br />
&#8216;He helped a lot of people,&#8217; Earp told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. &#8216;She had this really sad story. She took the $300,000. I&#8217;ll just leave it at that.&#8217;<br />
Turner and Pena have preliminary hearings scheduled in the case on June 3.Turner faced court in Stockton, California last week before being extradited to Las Vegas over the weekend</p>
