<div>Conkey, 31, stormed into the Tsidkenu Church in the Clairemont area of San Diego on Sunday while waving the handgun around, police say.<br />
The interloper then walked onto the stage and started talking about the rapture while grasping the 10-month-old boy.<br />
Terrified onlookers bravely stepped in and tackled Conkey to the ground before officers arrived on the scene to arrest her.<br />
Conkey, who also worked as a journalist for NBC 7 San Diego, has ranted in YouTube videos and on Facebook posts that Jesus is a &#8216;liar&#8217; and the Bible is a &#8216;trap&#8217;.</div>
<div>Shortly afterwards the woman involved was identified as a former member of the US Navy Anna Conkey, 31.<br />
The pastor, Benjamin Wisan said Conkey had attended the church before but had left. In fact, Conkey has had negative interactions with her church in the past, and this is not the first time that church members have called the police on her.</div>

On Sunday, the pastor said that Conkey seemed confused and he described her as being “not in her right mind.”<br />
He said that instead of speaking, Conkey was just uttering random words, and that nobody could understand what she wanted.<br />
&#8216;She was saying craziness about the rapture not being real, and everyone going to hell,&#8217; one witness recalled.<br />
Alert parishioners tackled Conkey and removed her weapon.<br />
Fortunately no-one was injured in the incident and photos showed officers taking the the child Conkey was carrying to safety.<br />

After examining the handgun police found it was unloaded and bomb specialists could not find any trace of explosives after a sweep of the complex.<br />
Conkey is a former journalism and creative writing major at San Diego State University.<br />
In recent years she also reportedly served as a digital media producer at NBC 7 San Diego and in the United States Navy.<br />
Conkey posted hour-long videos to a YouTube channel in which she claimed there was &#8216;great deception&#8217; happening in churches and synagogues.</div>

On April 7, she wrote: &#8216;The one who came as Jesus was a liar!!! Another word for “The Comforter” is The Advocate! Why would he say that unless he’s the Adversary??? Which means that since we’ve been worshipping him as God and believing everything he said, we’ve all be deceived.<br />
On April 15, about a week before Anna Conkey showed up at Mount Everest Academy with a gun, she made a Facebook post talking about how God had appointed her to give the church a message.<br />
She said that she went to the church to deliver this message, but instead of listening, the church called the police and ordered her to leave.<br />
Conkey said “I didn’t do anything. I guess when I said that I God told me I’m his messenger, and an apostle, and a prophet, and according to the Bible, the apostle has more power than the teacher…I was sent there for a reason.”<br />
Conkey went on to talk about the “message” which she said God had entrusted to her.<br />
She explained that, in her view, the curses set out in the Old Testament book of Deuteronomy have come to pass today. She said that because human beings have stopped being obedient to God’s will, they’ve been cursed with fevers, short lives, and even sun burns.</p>
