<p class="mol-para-with-font">The bodyguard is understood to have played a key role in informing Princess Haya about her husband&#8217;s alleged ill treatment of his own daughter.<br />
She had been allegedly imprisoned and tortured after an escape attempt in here teens and was forcibly returned to Dubai last year after another failed escape when she was captured by UAE commandos.<br />
The bodyguard is understood to have relayed &#8216;disturbing facts&#8217; about Latifa&#8217;s treatment to the Princess prompting her decision to leave her husband.<br />
David Haigh from the Free Latifa Campaign said: &#8216;We hope that when this reaches the High Court the truth about the appalling treatment of Princess Latifa finally comes out.<br />
&#8216;Haya is a crucial witness and one person who can tell the world what has happened to Latifa.&#8217;<br />
The 69-year-old gulf monarch has filed an unprecedented legal action against his 45-year-old junior wife in the Family Division of the London High Court. He is trying to obtain a court order to have his children returned to Dubai.<br />
The Next hearings in the case is scheduled for July 30 and July 31.<br />
Princess Haya, the youngest of the sheikh&#8217;s six wives, reportedly is hiding with her children in her London mansion overlooking Kensington Palace.<br />
The equestrian sport loving Sheikh and the princess are friends of the Queen, another horse enthusiast.<br />
A well-known international figure, Princess Haya is close friends with Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall.<br />
The princess is the daughter of the late King Hussein of Jordan. She is the half-sister of the current King of Jordan and received a British education, having graduated with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Britain&#8217;s prestigious Oxford University.
