<p class="endmarkEnabled">Theesfeld, 22, was taken into custody on Monday evening outside a gas station in South Memphis after the body of 21-year-old Alexandria &#8216;Ally&#8217; Kostial was discovered by a police officer during his patrol over the weekend.<br />
Theesfeld, a Texas native, was booked into the Lafayette County Jail on Monday and charged with murder after police arrested him at a gas station in Tennessee.<br />
He made his first court appearance for a bond hearing on Wednesday morning.<br />

Surveillance images obtained by <a class="class" href="https://www.fox13memphis.com/top-stories/ole-miss-student-accused-of-woman-s-murder-tracked-down-at-south-memphis-gas-station/969428902" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Fox13</a> showed Theesfeld entering the gas station wearing an Ole Miss t-shirt just moments before police arrived and swarmed his truck.<br />
They had tracked his cell and credit cards and spotted his pickup truck parked outside.</p>

Theesfeld is understood to have been arrested for public intoxication and having a fake ID in April 2017.<br />
It is not known if Ally was killed at the lake or if her body had been brought there and police have not released a motive in the shooting.<br />

The University paid tribute to Ally, calling her &#8216;a valued member of our campus community&#8217;.</p>
