‘He [Theesfeld], would be awful and then she’d break up with him, or he’d break up with her in rage, and then he’d go back to her saying, ”I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” And she’d take him back, the friend said.
The friend, who is a former Ole Miss student, also provided text messages to support her statements, which have not been published at her request.

Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that they were aware of the claims that Kostial was pregnant and it was part of the ongoing investigation.
The County Coroner’s office said: ‘The initial examination of the autopsy of Alexandria Kostial was performed. The additional ballistic, trace and comparative testing is not complete. The final complete autopsy report will not be issued by the State Medical Examiner until all evidence is processed and analyzed.
It is not known when they final autopsy report will be completed.
Kostial, 21, was found dead on Saturday morning at 10.30am by a police officer on patrol. Her body was discovered near Sardis Lake, around 30 miles from where she was last seen in downtown Oxford, Mississippi at midnight on Friday.
Theesfeld, 22, was arrested on Monday and charged with allegedly shooting Kostial eight times.
The friend, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals, said that she believes Kostial told Theesfeld that she was pregnant on the same day she was killed.
‘I believe it was the same day,’ she said. ‘Her sorority sisters thought it was Brandon because he was in a rage earlier in the day when I guess she had told him.’
She said that Kostial and Theesfeld ‘had dated on and off since her freshman year’ and that news of Kostial’s pregnancy was not a well-kept secret on the campus.
The friend said that although Kostial had a very ‘good girl group’, Theesfeld was not well-known to them.
‘I don’t really know him. I knew he was in the picture. He had been at some of the gatherings that I had gone to,’ she said. ‘Sometimes she [Kostial] was there, sometimes not but he always looked frustrated, making everyone else feel uncomfortable.
‘He was already kind of an angry person in general. Every time I saw him, he seemed pissed off at everyone. He sent off this unhappy, grumpy vibe.
‘He was just known as kind of a p***k’, Oxford is very, very small, word gets around. So when someone’s pregnant and you’re a cute sorority girl, a lot of people find out about it very quickly whether you want them to or not.’

‘It was on and off. They’d break up and then they’d get back together. I don’t want to say volatile but unstable.
‘I don’t think they were ‘on’ at the time of her death.
‘They used to get in fights – voices raised, not screaming, but like ‘What the hell do you think you’re doing?’ conversations.
‘He was very controlling – you can’t go here, you can’t talk to this person, you were flirting with this guy. She was not really allowed to have guy friends. That’s why she had such a close girl group.
‘He would be awful and then she’d break up with him, or he’d break up with her in rage, and then he’d go back to her saying, ”I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” And she’d take him back.’
The friend added: ‘He was not going to leave her alone until she took him back. He wouldn’t let her move on with her life.
‘Their relationship was extremely toxic and she always took him back.’
The fellow student said that the place where her friend was found murdered was a popular hang-out spot for students.
‘On weekends during the day, we go to Buford’s Ridge. Everyone brings their trucks, kegs and hang out.’
The friend said she wanted to share the truth of the situation to prevent gossip from spreading and also to remember who Ally was.

Kostial was seen last on surveillance footage leaving Funky’s bar in Oxford, Mississippi shortly before midnight last Friday.
Her roommate told police she arrived home around midnight but she did not hear her leave again.

According to WBLT, Kostial was only shot in the torso and stomach area. A full autopsy report is pending at the Lafayette County Coroner ‘s office.
Theesfeld was taken into custody on Monday evening outside a gas station in South Memphis and charged with Kostial’s death.
Theesfeld allegedly had blood on his clothes when police arrested him. Surveillance images, obtained by Fox13, showed Theesfeld entering the gas station wearing an Ole Miss t-shirt just moments before police arrived and swarmed his truck. According to police, a weapon was found in his truck.

His father, Daniel Theesfeld, insisted on Tuesday that his son is innocent.
‘I know my son is innocent. And I have reasons to believe that I can’t share anything now. But I would ask everybody to please give him the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise,’ he said in a statement to WLBT.
Friend Rachel Macdonald told Good Morning America of Theesfeld: ‘I have never once had a bad conversation, never once felt threatened
‘Never once thought he was capable of that.’
The victim’s father, Keith Kostial, posted on Facebook that his daughter, who was studying for a bachelor’s degree in marketing, had been attending summer school and teaching fitness classes at the university.
Ally is originally from St Louis, Missouri. Her funeral was held on Saturday in Kirkwood, Missouri.
