Gregory Kyle Seerden, 33, stood expressionless in a San Diego, California court on Tuesday as the victim&#8217;s mother delivered an impact statement on behalf of the girl, who is now 12 years old. The case did not go to trial as Seerden pleaded guilty.<br />
&#8216;I&#8217;ve seen a man that was sworn to uphold a better standard of values getting away with the most heinous acts of crime that I can think of,&#8217; his ex-wife Alicia Reppert said at the sentencing.<br />

Former Petty Officer 1st Class Gregory Kyle Seerden, 33, pled guilty earlier this year to seven felony counts of lewd acts on a child. The victim was between 5 and 7 years old when molested and is now 12 years old.<br />
She was not present for Seerden&#8217;s sentencing, but her mother delivered a victim impact statement at the hearing.<br />

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The daughter of the ex-member of SEAL Team 1, a veteran of both Iraq and Afghanistan outed her the sexual abuse by her dad that began when she was just five and continued until she was seven years old.<br />
The accused child molester, Gregory Seerden, a US Navy vet from Missouri &#8211; is currently serving a 27-year federal sentence for producing and possessing child pornography.<br />

Those videos were taken the night before the alleged assault, he later admitted, while he was sleeping in the same room as his victim.<br />

It was unclear if the rape investigation resulted in criminal charges, but it did lead to a search of Seerden&#8217;s cell phone revealed child pornography &#8211; videos and photographs, including a video of him abusing another 5 year-old relative, while she slept.</div>
<div>Seerden was arrested on April 3, 2017, for the case involving child pornography.<br />
Subsequently, he was convicted and is currently serving a 27-year sentence.</div>
<div>That domestic sexual abuse allegation was investigated by the Navy at the time but dropped because the child&#8217;s mother was reluctant to pursue charges, according to prosecutors. But the case was reopened after his arrest when his daughter came forward with the allegations.<br />
