<p class="mol-para-with-font">The boyfriend of an au pair who was found stabbed to death just a few yards away from where her boss was murdered in his home has been charged in the grisly killings.<br />
Joseph Porter, 27, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, was booked on two counts of murder and weapons possession in the deaths of David Kimowitz, 40, and Porter&#8217;s girlfriend, Karen Bermudez-Rodriguez, 26, according to the <a class="class" href="https://www.nydailynews.com/news/crime/ny-maplewood-nj-murders-david-kimowitz-nanny-suspect-arrested-20190804-pt4wnixvqbh67eibifaop2rchy-story.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NYDailyNews</a>.<br />
Kimowitz, a New York comedy club owner, was found inside his New Jersey home over the weekend after a jogger discovered his nanny, Bermudez-Rodriguez, dying of stab wounds on a street outside his residence.<br />

<p>Hours later, residents of leafy Maplewood learned the horrific truth, their neighbor, a Manhattan comedy club owner, and his family’s live-in nanny had been brutally murdered, allegedly by the nanny’s boyfriend.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Colombian student Bermudez-Rodriguez arrived in the United States more than a year ago, a friend told <a class="class" href="https://www.nj.com/news/2019/08/police-charge-boyfriend-of-au-pair-working-for-nyc-comedy-club-owner-with-killing-them-at-nj-home.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">NJ Advance Media</a>. The 26-year-old who came to the U.S. to learn English, began babysitting for Kimowitz shortly after her arrival.<br />
Neighbors claimed to have seen the nanny&#8217;s boyfriend parked in the neighborhood for hours. They had also noticed his Toyota Corolla parked near the house in recent weeks.<br />

&#8216;I’ve seen his car for the last couple of weeks,&#8217; said.<br />
