<div>A two-year-old girl wearing only a diaper was found alive inside her family&#8217;s home in Los Angeles where police discovered the bodies of a man and a woman following an apparent murder-suicide.<br />
Police responding to reports of gunshots at around 7pm on Monday entered a house in the 11200 block of Covello Street in the Sun Valley section of Los Angeles and found a 39-year-old woman dead from multiple gunshot wounds.<br />
A man in his 60s, believed to be the female victim&#8217;s husband, sustained a single gunshot wound.<br />

<p class="mol-para-with-font">LAPD detectives say it appeared the man shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.<br />
The couple&#8217;s two-year-old daughter was discovered by responding officers unharmed in a bedroom.<br />
&#8216;She was in a safe playpen with toys,&#8217; LAPD Lt. Mike Kodak told ABC Los Angeles station <a class="class" href="https://abc7.com/5479861/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">KABC</a>. &#8216;She didn&#8217;t seem to know what was going on, obviously at that age.&#8217;<br />
One of the uniformed officers on the scene was seen on video carrying the toddler out of the residence and comforting her outside. She was later taken to a police station.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The family&#8217;s next-door neighbor Jaime Vazquez told the <a class="class" href="https://www.dailynews.com/2019/08/19/2-dead-in-apparent-sun-valley-murder-suicide/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Los Angeles Daily News</a> that the husband and wife had lived in the area for more than 10 years.<br />

According to the neighbor, the man had recently lost his job, and police had been called to the home for a domestic dispute involving yelling just five days before the murder-suicide.<br />
Another neighbor said his father had encountered the husband the night before the deadly incident and urged him to seek counseling for his marriage problems.</p>
