<p class="mol-para-with-font">The 22-year-old adopted son of former NFL football player Barry Bennett and his wife has been arrested in Mexico charged with shooting dead his parents in their rural Minnesota home earlier this week.<br />
A criminal complaint was signed Friday against Bennett, charging him with the shooting deaths of Barry and Carol Bennett, both 63, inside their Long Prairie home.<br />
Dylan John Bennett was apprehended by Mexican law enforcement in Cancun after Todd County investigators used his cell phone, credit card and ATM activity since Friday to locate him there, the sheriff&#8217;s office confirmed on Saturday.<br />
<span style="color: var(--color-text);">Using intelligence developed by the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension [BCA] and the FBI, Mexican law enforcement located Dylan Bennett shortly before noon today at a hotel in Cancun, Mexico, and took him into custody,&#8217; the sheriff’s office said.<br />

The couple who owned a sheep farm in retirement, were both killed by multiple shotgun blasts on Monday in their home in rural Long Prairie, Minn., Long Prairie, Minn., about 125 miles northwest of Minneapolis, investigators said.<br />
</span><span style="color: var(--color-text);">Sheriff’s officers found their bodies on Wednesday, and soon learned that Todd Bennett had left from Ohio to Cancun.Authorities say the Bennetts were found shot and alleged that the couple&#8217;s adopted son had expressed thoughts of killing them in December, while lodged at a mental health facility.<br />
</span><span style="color: var(--color-text);">Officers tracked his mobile phone and credit card use there, and the FBI asked Mexican police to look for Bennett and arrest him, authorities said.<br />
