<p>But lawyers for the 56-year-old actress appealed for a one-year term of probation — saying her actions were “completely out of character.”<br />
“Huffmann’s decision to cheat was deliberate and knowing,” prosecutors wrote in the sentencing submission filed in US District Court on Friday.<br />
“Huffmann’s notes also show that she knew what she was doing was wrong, and she conspired with Singer to avoid arousing suspicion,” the document read.<br />
The “Desperate Housewives” actress is set to be sentenced in the infamous case on Sept. 13 in Boston.</p>

They denied Huffman wanted to falsify her daughter’s SAT scores and instead blamed her behavior on the poor resources at her daughter’s Los Angeles high school.<br />
“The public high school her daughter Sophia attended, had limited college counseling resources,” Huffman’s lawyers wrote, claiming Singer was recommended as “one of the best college counselors in California.”</div>
