<p>A Florida special education teacher was arrested Monday after allegedly having sex with her son’s 15-year-old friend “several hundred times” beginning last year.<br />
According to Susan Weddle&#8217;s arrest report, one of her son’s friends admitted to authorities in late November that he had been in a sexual relationship with her for more than a year.<br />
Weddle, 40, and the teen allegedly began their relationship at the Weddle&#8217;s Cantonment home after the two attended her son’s football game and started drinking, according to the <a href="https://www.pnj.com/story/news/crime/2019/12/03/florida-teacher-accused-having-sex-teen-several-hundred-times/2594717001/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Pensacola News Journal</a>, citing an arrest report.<br />
The teen said once he was drunk, he asked Weddle to have sex with him. Initially she resisted and told him it was wrong, but eventually gave in, the report said.<br />
From there, the pair then allegedly had a sexual relationship that lasted more than a year.<br />

The teenager told Escambia County Sheriff’s Office investigators that he was 15 and Weddle was 39 at the outset of their sexual relationship. He estimated they had sex “several hundred times” at various locations including her house, his home, her vehicle and the beach, the report stated.<br />
“Weddle was his first and only sexual partner, and he believed himself to be in love with her,” the arrest report said.<br />
Weddle on Monday resigned from the J.E. Hall Center, where she helped train other teachers as a learning resource specialist, Escambia County School District Superintendent Malcolm Thomas told the paper.<br />
She worked there for 11 months. Before that position, she was a teacher at L.D. McArthur Elementary School, the report said.<br />
Several witnesses came forward to report the pair’s relationship, and in November a high school guidance counselor tipped off the Department of Children and Families.<br />
That witness alerted the counselor about discovering damning text messages between the teen and Weddle.<br />
The teen said the two discussed future plans of having a life together occasionally but they would routinely break up over jealousy issues. The teen also said he and Weddle routinely exchanged nude photos but claimed all of the devices used for their communications had been destroyed or factory reset.<br />
However another witness, who was hired to pressure wash Weddle’s home on April 3, alerted the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office that he saw the two kissing.<br />
The witnesses also told authorities the teen showed him nude photos of Weddle on his phone, as well as a video of what he believed to be the two having sex, according to the arrest report.<br />
