<p class="mol-para-with-font">A former University of Texas at San Antonio football player has been arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of his sister at a home north of Austin.<br />
The Travis County sheriff´s office says 25-year-old former UTSA Roadrunners football player Michael Egwuagu was charged with murder Friday for the fatal stabbing of his pregnant sister, Jennifer Chioma Ebichi, in Pflugerville.<br />
The sheriff´s office spokeswoman Kristen Dark said the 32-year-old woman was attacked with a knife.<br />
Travis County police responded to a 911 call at a Pflugerville, Texas, home — just north of Austin, where Ebichi, was found on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds around 5 p.m. She died at the scene.<br />
Egwuagu was arrested in connection with the murder shortly after police arrived at the scene.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Neighbor Ben Nguyen told <a class="class" href="https://www.statesman.com/news/20191228/neighbors-rsquoshockedrsquo-at-fatal-stabbing-near-pflugerville" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Statesman</a> that Egwuagu&#8217;s hands and feet were covered in blood following the fatal stabbing around 5pm Friday. He was arrested at the scene.<br />
Nguyen said: &#8216;It&#8217;s not something we expected to happen here. They were good people.&#8217;<br />
Another neighbor Liskenia Tena added: &#8216;This is a quiet neighborhood. She and her husband were very nice. They were very quiet.&#8217; <span style="color: var(--color-text);"> </span></p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Egwuagu, who was from Pflugerville, was being held Saturday in Travis County jail.<br />
He could possibly face more than one murder charge, after police confirmed via autopsy that Ebichi was in her first trimester of pregnancy.<br />
His bond has been set at $500,000.<br />
Michael Egwuagu played strong safety at UTSA from 2013-16, appearing in 44 games and making more than 200 tackles.<br />
The murder suspect is the younger brother of former Texas Longhorn defensive back, Martin Egwuagu, and the cousin of former Buffalo Bill and NFL free agent, IK Enemkpali.</p>
