<p class="mol-para-with-font">A 17-year-old male has been charged with incest and rape after Missouri police said he confessed to having sex with an 11-year-old family member who then gave birth to their child in a bathtub.<br />
Norvin Leonidas Lopez-Cante was charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy, and incest after police said he admitted to the crimes.<br />
Authorities opened to investigations on Tuesday, when suspect&#8217;s father rushed an infant to St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, according to <a class="class" href="https://www.ksdk.com/article/news/crime/incest-rape-family-member-pregnant-baby-st-charles-st-louis/63-8f9691dd-22a4-48a4-adcf-5f65bcbfce1e" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">KSDK-TV</a>.<br />
Francisco Javier Gonzalez-Lopez initially did not admit his son was responsible, instead he told investigators that someone dropped off the infant on his front porch.<br />
Upon arrival at the hospital, the baby still had the umbilical cord and placenta attached.<br />
The baby’s body temperature also fell to just 90 degrees, according to investigators.<br />
Police interviewed Gonzalez-Lopez at his home two days later.</p>

Lopez-Cante is reported to have told police that he had sex with the relative about twice a week, though he does not recall the first sexual encounter.<br />
Lopez-Cante was arrested and charged with first-degree statutory rape, statutory sodomy, and incest. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.<br />
