A 17-year-old male has been charged with incest and rape after Missouri police said he confessed to having sex with an 11-year-old family member who then gave birth to their child in a bathtub.
Norvin Leonidas Lopez-Cante was charged with statutory rape, statutory sodomy, and incest after police said he admitted to the crimes.
Authorities opened to investigations on Tuesday, when suspect’s father rushed an infant to St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, according to KSDK-TV.
Francisco Javier Gonzalez-Lopez initially did not admit his son was responsible, instead he told investigators that someone dropped off the infant on his front porch.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the baby still had the umbilical cord and placenta attached.
The baby’s body temperature also fell to just 90 degrees, according to investigators.
Police interviewed Gonzalez-Lopez at his home two days later.

Lopez-Cante was arrested and charged with first-degree statutory rape, statutory sodomy, and incest. If convicted, he faces up to life in prison.
Lopez-Cante’s bond was set at $25,000 – cash only.
Gonzalez-Lopez was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
His bond was set at $10,000 cash only.
According to authorities, Gonzalez-Lopez entered the United States illegally after being deported.
