<p>Leah Cordice, 20, from Windsor, was found guilty of having sex on at least five occasions with the teenager whom she was babysitting.<br />
In her testimony Cordice, a nursery worker, claimed the boy had raped her. However, during her sentencing at Reading Crown Court, Judge Peter Clarke chastised the defendant for showing &#8220;a total lack of remorse&#8221;.<br />
The boy who is now 17. testified that Cordice first had sex with him in January 2017, when she was then 17, he was 13 at the time.<br />
In July 2018, the victim told police about the sexual contact, but Cordice denied the claims.<br />
The baby was subsequently DNA tested and the jury heard it was 14 million times more likely than not that the 13-year-old boy was the father of Cordice&#8217;s child.</p>

<p>At trial, the 13-year-old denied Cordice, who married her boyfriend in May 2017, had been raped on the occasions they had sex.<br />
Tara McCarthy, defending, described her as &#8220;very immature and young&#8221; and said she had lost her job.<br />
Judge Clarke added the victim, now 16, had suffered &#8220;chronic insecurities&#8221; over the offences.<br />
Cordice was issued with a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years and made to sign the sex offenders register.<br />
Cordice&#8217;s husband Daniel Robbins, 21, in an interview recounted how he loved watching his baby daughter&#8217;s every gurgle and giggle. He had big dreams of a perfect future for her and his wife Robbins said.<br />
Dan spoke of his torment after Leas conviction. She is heading to jail after being found guilty of three counts of sexual activity with a child.<br />
Despite his pain, Daniel an apprentice auto mechanic insists Leah is not a bad person and he does not want her to go to prison: “It hurts like hell. I had an amazing life,” he said.<br />
“Everything was going so well. I had a secure job, a nice place, a good relationship and a beautiful daughter. All of a sudden, everything I cherished was taken away — my child, my wife, my home, my job.<br />
“What do I have left? It’s heartbreaking.”<br />
The couple met in college in 2015, but while they had broken up briefly in 2017 Leah, who worked as a childcare student in a nursery, volunteered as a babysitter.<br />
Leah, then 17, was meant to look after the teenage boy, but she preyed upon him one night as he played Xbox in his bedroom. He testified that his babysitter pulled his pants down and begged him for sex. They then had intercourse on his bed.<br />
Cordice continued to abuse the boy two or three times a month — even after she had rekindled her relationship with Dan.</p>

<p>As part of her grooming, Leah sent the boy texts full of compliments, calling him “cute” and saying how she loved him.<br />
Weeks after the first night with her ward, Cordice informed boyfriend Robbins she was pregnant.<br />
Believing he was the father, Dan insisted they got married before their baby was born.<br />
He says: “I did not plan to become a husband and father so young but at the time I was sure about what I was doing, I was confident.<br />
Though marriage had not been in the immediate plans Robbins recalls thinking “Why not start our own family?”<br />
“I couldn’t see myself with anyone else. I trusted Leah, she trusted me and she was pregnant. If I am going to do this, why not do it properly?”<br />
Five months before the baby was due, Dan and Leah married at a ceremony in a local hotel with only a few close friends and family as guests.<br />
Daniel says: “The day the baby was born was, and still is, the best time in my life.”<br />
“I enjoyed every moment of fatherhood, I really did. It was the best time&#8230; until the DNA test.”</p>
