</span><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">The man recording the footage claims that he heard the woman whom he describes as a &#8216;Karen&#8217; tell the shopper to &#8216;go back to her country&#8217; before telling the clerk behind the register not to serve her.<br />
</span><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">The entire incident all builds up to a face-to-face confrontation which sees the two women shouting at each other before &#8216;Karen&#8217; is seen shoving the woman.<br />
</span><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">It led to an immediate retaliation with the other woman defending herself and slapping her antagonist across the face.<br />

TMZ reports that they have reached out to the owners of the convenience store where the drama unfolded to clarify Karen&#8217;s claim that she was the store manager.<br />
However, the owners said the white woman seen in the video, who initially ID&#8217;d herself as a manager,- is not their employee, and is no longer welcome at any of their locations nationwide.<br />

</span><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">After pointing out to Cooper that dogs must be leashed at all times to protect wildlife habitats, the 41-year-old quickly became irate, dialing 911 wailing that ‘an African American man is threatening my life’.</span></div>

Amy Cooper was terminated from her $170,000 job at as head of insurance investment solutions at Franklin Templeton shortly afterwards.<br />
A petition to ban her from Central Park for life also emerged, as did new legislation that would make falsely reporting an incident as a hate crime illegal from now on.</span></div>
