<p class="mol-para-with-font">Four children and two adults are dead after a Thursday night murder-suicide at Parkview Apartments in Monroe., Louisiana<br />
Monroe Police Chief Reggie Brown confirmed the six deaths Friday and identified Brittany Tucker as the shooter.<br />
The 30-year-old woman who is mentally ill shot and killed her four children, including an infant, and her neighbor before turning the gun on herself at an apartment complex, police said.<br />
<span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">Tucker reportedly shot Anteshia Logwood in front of Building 19 at the apartment complex around 7:44 p.m. Brown said Tucker approached Logwood and made an &#8216;irrational comment&#8217; that Logwood dismissed.<br />
</span><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">&#8220;That is when [Tucker] produced a handgun she had recently purchased and fired a shot,&#8221; Brown said. &#8220;She then proceeded to her apartment, apartment 159, where her children were. She proceeded to shoot each one of her children, and there were four children inside the apartment. All four children died as a result of their injuries.&#8221;<br />
</span><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">Detectives identified the four children as Tremayne Tucker, age 12; Trechelle Tucker, age 8; Treasure Tucker, age 5 and Glory Tucker, 5 months old.<br />

<p class="p-text">Chief Brown said Tucker was diagnosed with a mental illness within the past couple of years and was receiving treatment.<br />
&#8220;Here recently, she appeared to be in a mental crisis, and the mental health crisis continued to get worse and her state of mental health deteriorated over the past two or three days,&#8221; Brown explained. She had been seen waving a gun at the Parkwood Apartments in the days before the shootings.</p>

According to the description of a <a class="class" href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/anteshia-funeral" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">GoFundMe </a>campaign launched by Logwood&#8217;s older brother, his sister would have turned 21 years old on Wednesday.<br />
&#8216;Instead of planning for her birthday, we have to plan for a funeral,&#8217; wrote Charles Logwood.<br />
On her Facebook page, which has been dormant since late May, Tucker referred to herself as an &#8216;apostle&#8217; and often frequently shared religious messages and memes.</p>
