&#8216;The officers did not draw their weapon, did not fire, did not stand a chance,&#8217; Rodriguez said, according to <a class="class" href="https://www.krgv.com/news/sources-2-officers-shot-in-south-mcallen" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">KRGV</a>.<br />
Authorities share that Ignacio Caramillo had been previously arrested for drunken driving and for assault charges.<br />
The shooting is still under investigation.</span></div>

Authorities said that Audon Caramillo, the man who shot and killed the officers – before shooting himself – had previously been arrested on drunken driving and assault charges.</span></div>
