<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Clothing brand co-founder Michael Troy Hutto, was arrested in Jacksonville Florida on Friday and faces a manslaughter charge after the death of an 18-year-old woman at a hotel.<br>Hutto one of the founders of the Salt Life brand was arrested Friday after an 18-year-old Columbia County woman was found dead inside a South Florida hotel.<br>Lora Grace Duncan was found shot Thursday morning at Hotel Hilton Singer Island Oceanfront Palm Beaches Resort in Riviera Beach after her parents called the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office to request a welfare check. <br>Hutto, 54, of Jacksonville was arrested Friday and accused of manslaughter in connection with the Lake City teen’s death, Riviera Beach Police said. <br>The Florida Highway Patrol arrested the suspect at a hospital about 280 miles away in Jacksonville, wearing hospital scrubs and no-slip socks when he was taken into custody.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hutto is the co-founder of <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.saltlife.com/" target="_blank">Salt Life</a>, a widely known clothing company founded in Jacksonville Beach. According to Salt Life, Hutto is not involved in the company anymore after selling it several years ago.<br>“Sadly we have learned one of Salt Life’s co-founders has been charged with a felony,” a spokesperson for the company wrote in a <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.facebook.com/livethesaltlife/posts/10159092368245827" target="_blank">Facebook</a> post.<br>“Salt Life sends their utmost sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased. In 2013, the co-founders of Salt Life sold their entire business to the new owners. The co-founders have not been associated with the brand in any way since the purchase in 2013.”</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Police said Hutto was found in Jacksonville suffering a medical emergency and was taken to a local hospital. Detectives responded to Jacksonville and through investigation were able to make a probable cause for his arrest. Hutto, with the assistance of the Florida Highway Patrol, was then arrested at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville and taken to the Duval County Jail without incident.<br>Police have not released how Hutto is connected to Duncan or whether they had a relationship.</p>
